They have you packed in like a can of sardines! Will not return! Would not suggest! What is with all the golf carts. No one can walk….Huge rocks along the roads. Could hardly back into the site! Diffently a seasonal campground. I enjoy the outdoors. Peace and quiet sitting by a campfire surrounded by trees not the backend of rv's....😡🤬😤. 2 more days here ugh! I guess we will make the best of it.
We arrived late due to road construction. Pulled into too small site. RV next to us was pushed into our space due to hill. We had no room to put awning out. We were down in a 'holler' is only way I can describe it. Rocks and dirt all around. It is a seasonal place so everyone had golf carts - this KOA is set up to cater to permanent seasonal guests rather then temporary stays. Would not recommend. Only one area that appeared to be dump site but if we had tried to use it - it looked like we would have blocked part of the road. VERY disappointing for our 1st trip out and the supposed luxury of a KOA classification. Thank goodness Olympics were on, AC worked and wine was cold - otherwise I would have ditched 1st thing in the morning. Bike ride on country roads took us by the prison - which was interesting as was the bike tour inside KOA - lots of folks have incredibly nice set ups for summer homes!…
This place is beautifully situated in the hills of the Kettle Moraine. The facilities are clean and there are many activities. Unfortunately the spaces are too crowded together and there are not enough full hook up spots. My biggest gripe is the 9 pm parade of golf carts cruising the facility playing loud music.
We pulled in mid afternoon hoping our grandchildren could use the swimming pool as they advertised 3 pools! Unfortunately, they were all 3 packed with people, of which seem to be full-time or seasonal residence. Our first site they gave us was next to cabins on grass and did not seem to be a regular site. We requested to move and the staff was very accommodating and we moved to another site...very tight! The staff determined it was not an appropriate size for our 36' home, we moved to a spot that was considered a "VIP" spot, away from everyone, only 3 sites, full hook-up on pavement so it was an improvement. I would be aware of the fact that there are so many seasonal or full-time residence in this KOA!
I phoned no less than 5 times to confirm if I definitely had a reservation. After the 3rd phone call a woman was very helpful, but unfortunately our call was disconnected & I could not reach them again. I called an addiitonal time and then 2 times this afternoon without any success. My entire family & I stayed at this location several times in the past (more than 12 years ago) and at that time it was great. Eileen
Took my grandchildren camping this KOA is 95% Seasonal sites. Our site #139 was next to the playground and we had a huge empty grassy area next to us. We thought was great until it became a parking lot! We has so many cars parked next to us we felt We were at a Walmart! It was so noisy at night adults partying and playing on the playground as I tried to get my grandchildren to sleep! The pool area was nice.
What a great place! A friend and I rented a cabin from Westard Ho for a weekend in October. It was just a perfect size for the 2 of us. Wish it would have been a little warmer because it looks as if during the summer they have a lot of different thing going on. They had a band playing on Saturday night and they sounded very good. The cabin was well kept up, We will hope to be visiting again next summer. Also the price for the cabin was very reasonable and the staff was awesome!
Not coming back. We arrived 2 hours early. Nobody was on our reserved site, but we got chagred $20 extra for a early arrival. This is a park mostly Seasonal Residents. All of the sites are facing inward ( looking at each other ). We had a tight site / vehicles parked within 4 feet of our RV. On our end of the park their were only 2 Port-O-Jons to use for a bathroom facility. We felt as if we were the amusment for the Seasonal people. Next to a Correctional institution. Take the time & go to Two Rivers and use one of their private RV Resorts ( get treated like family ).
We stayed here for two nights. Very well kept property! Many seasonal spots, but all kept in nice condition. We did not travel with children, but if we had they would have loved it. Lots for them to do. Before we came I saw a few reviews complaining about road noise. This is a mystery to me. There are no major roads near by, and we found it to be very peaceful. We would return for another stay.
We camped here in our camper in august. The facilities are clean and very well kept. On weekends they have live music, and a fun atmosphere. There are 2 large pools and one shallow pool for toddlers/babies. The washroom facilities are clean as is the whole grounds. I am definitely returning next summer.
