We went to see the overlook and the markings on the rock. All 303 steps were worth the view. Just gorgeous park and well maintained. It was a perfect fall day. We were too early for the fall color but would be perfect to see once everything starts changing. They did have the park main entrance closed and you had...

We hiked the trails with the grandkids, 9 & 13. Their favorite was the 300 ' climb to the top of the rock, 303 steps and 21 landings. Yes they counted. The view was great on a sunny day. Over 12 miles. Two deer were in the woods and turkey vultures were soaring overhead. And of course squirrels. The rock...

Other similar experiences nearby that are better or easier. The stair climb to the top of the rock is modern and sturdy. The view at the top was boring, maybe more colorful in autumn. There isn't much to do in this state park or campground compared to so many other nearby campgrounds, parks and rock views. This is meant to...

This is a small state park, roughly 40 campsites. No frills, pitch your tent and camp for the weekend. Very clean and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend taking the stairs to the top of the mound if there are no really young/old people in your group. It is 303 stairs to the top and could be a little...

We had fun with the "Climb" to the top! The views are awesome up there, and you feel you've accomplished something; good workout! If I can do it w my arthritis, age 60, you can too! See pics. It looks like the only bad review came from someone 5 years ago when the stairs were closed. They obviously were open...

I've been going to Roche A Cri for about 50 years; I remember the park before there were stairs leading to the top of the mound! The good: It's a great little campground if you want to enjoy peace and quiet. It's a 30 minute ride to Wisconsin Dells if you want to play tourist. The sites are ALL good....

This is a great place to camp. I have camped in many, many other Wisconsin state parks and this is right up there with the rest of them. There is wood for sale, hiking trails, close bathrooms, etc. I was there on Aug. 23rd and there were no ticks or mosquitoes. I brought bug spray but didn't have to apply...

This was our first visit to Roche-A-Cri State Park. We enjoyed a relaxing and quiet visit. We used the DNR State Park reservation system as we preferred one of the four electric sites, it was less than a $10 reservation fee for the two nights. Self check in was unnecessary as we were pre-registered, just drove to our campsite and...

You go, pay the park fee, get to the stairs and they are closed and will be closed for another year! The park is full of hard biting mosquitoes and the petroglyphs are a joke. Save your money and watch youtube and it looks better than live. We have never been so dissappointed with a state park. Definitely the worst...

I have camped in many of our State campgrounds and I must say that I am quite impressed with Roche Cri State Park in Adams Wisconsin. My husband and I have stayed there several times now. We enjoy the beauty of the trails and the freindliness of the park staff. We have walked the trails (winter and summer) and have...
