First off, let me preface this review with a disclaimer. I'm from Chicago and had a strange perception of Wisconsin - country roads, farms, flatlands, cheese, and Wisconsin Dells. There's a pretty good argument that city folk can be close-minded as well. Post covid, we were wary of flying, so we decided to take a road trip. My wife pretty much planned the whole trip. I heard a tiny bit about Door County and briefly saw some hotel listings by the water in Fish Creek & Ephraim. I told my wife we should stay at a place where we have a view of the water. She vetoed that and chose Juniper Inn. I thought it was way too far from the closest town. Boy was I wrong and I'm wise enough to admit that. Driving to Juniper Inn, for a city boy, was straight out of a movie. Charming trees, bluffs overlooking the breathtaking landscapes, peace and quiet. So this is what Wisconsin is about? You can hear nature slightly buzzing. I surrendered and let my city guard down. When we pulled into the Inn, the exterior & landscaping were immaculate and inspiring. We were the first to show up for our check-in (we're always early). I didn't mind taking a moment to "hear" silence, but my wife decided to call our hosts to see if we can check-in early. They accommodated. We were greeted by Karen & Chris, who opened the grand door and a burst of sunlight and warmth rushed through us. What a stunning B&B. The decor, colors, the flow of the Inn was impressive and quickly felt like a hug. Not a speckle of dust was in sight. We could easily have stayed at the Inn for an entire day and enjoy ourselves. The attention to detail was superb. Wisconsin has a nice balance of towns + nature. The B&B embraced that by inviting nature in (you'll know what I'm talking about when you stay there). Being into the arts, I could tell they put a lot of effort into building the character of their B&B. I believe Karen comes from a family of artists. Chris, I was told, is quite the handyman. Karen & Chris were warm, inviting, and sincere. Karen's smile and laugh were our first introduction to the vibe of Door County. They made us feel special right when we stepped foot in their B&B. Their breakfast is what you would find at a farm-to-table restaurant. I don't want to spoil too much because it was definitely an experience. Just know that it's a perfect place to rest and unwind after a long day of seeing each of the towns in Door County. It's a 5-7 minute drive into Ephriam or Fish Creek (there is virtually no traffic). I found myself wanting to beat the crowds and escape back to our B&B midday. People, I believe, make towns. Karen & Chris left an impression on me and my whole perception of Wisconsin changed. If you want a true Wisconsin experience (a mix of nature + town life), book your stay at Juniper Inn. Yet again, my wife was right and she made the perfect decision.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful experience at The Juniper Inn. We were treated with respect, friendliness, helpfulness and great breakfasts! Karen and Chris are lovely innkeepers! Our rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Also the whole inn is clean and well thought out to meet the needs of guests. The location is also a real plus; it was our first time in Door County and really enjoyed every minute and every town we visited. PS. The Inn is not set up to accommodate young children.

This was my 1st B&B experience and it was wonderful! The accommodations are beautiful and clean. Our group of 8 had a relaxing enjoyable stay. We were able to gather in the family room, back porch and dining areas very comfortably, The breakfasts were delicious and the cookies upon arrival were a great treat! The owners Christopher and Karen are so warm and friendly. They couldn't have been nicer and made us feel so welcome. I have no problem recommending their B&B and would definitely return!

Our group of eight stayed at the Juniper Inn last week and took all four upstairs bedrooms. (There is an additional bedroom downstairs.) We were greeted by owners Karen and Chris with enthusiasm and open arms. They assisted us with our every request. The accommodations were excellent and up to date. The breakfasts were great. The welcoming cookies were a special touch. The home had plenty of gathering space for our group and the viewing area for the bird feeders, on their enclosed porch, was a real treat. I can’t recommend them any higher and will stay there in the future should I have a need for a great B&B.

Juniper Inn is the perfect place to stay in Door County! The setting is stunning, and it is only 3 minutes from Peninsula State Park. The B&B is centrally located in Door County, and there are so many quaint shops and restaurants in Fish Creek (The Cookery was one of our favorites). The innkeepers, Christopher and Karen really pay attention to the details and have so many wonderful amenities. They also took the time to answer our questions and provide recommendations for dinner and much more. Their B&B is beautifully furnished, extremely clean with very comfortable beds, and each morning they provided us with a scrumptious homemade breakfast. We were traveling with 2 other couples, and we are so glad we chose this B&B! We would be delighted to stay here again!

Thank you! It was such a treat to meet and get to know all 3 wonderful couples. You were a fun group and I recall how everyone enjoyed the gorgeous apple pie you guys brought back to snack on. I believe for some of your group, it was the first time they had traveled to the Peninsula in Door County. Your timing was great, the fall colors are happening! Christopher and I hope you all got to know more about our beautiful area and will return sometime soon to enjoy more of, "the Door"! Warm regards, Christopher and Karen

The Juniper Inn is a short drive to the cute towns on each side of the peninsula. You won't hear the roar of traffic on Highways 57 and 42. We stayed in the Wedgewood which had ample space and great amenities. It became our "home". Innkeepers Christopher and Karen are terrific. We enjoyed meeting them immensely. We dined at the Fireside in Egg Harbor and Chives in Bailey's Harbor. Both were outstanding. Door County is up and running despite the current state of affairs. It was a great time to visit. We had our choice of restaurants, shops, and exploring without bumper to bumper traffic. Treat yourself to a quaint getaway with your base being the Juniper Inn. It felt good to experience some nature and support the local economy. We were welcome everywhere. We will be repeat customers. Our deepest appreciation to Christopher and Karen and all the best to you.

Our stay happened to coincide with comet NEOWISE approaching our solar system. I couldn’t see it back home from city lights, smog and what not. But the skies over at door county, especially from where there inn is, was just perfect for viewing it. We were beyond happy witnessing the comet visit. Good location for exploring the peninsula. The balcony off the room was inviting and had beautiful nature views. The room was so relaxing and gorgeous. The whole place was neat and well laid out. Chris and Karen’s Hospitality was perfect.

We spent two nights here right before Valentines Day. A truly beautiful, clean and friendly place to stay in gorgeous Door County! We stayed in the Wedgwood suite; it was spacious, romantic, spotless and beautifully decorated! The two person soaking jacuzzi tub was so relaxing! Bath salts were a wonderful added touch! The fireplace was so romantic; we used it each morning and evening. The sitting area was comfortable and has beautiful views for miles! Breakfast is served between 8 and 10 a.m. Each morning it was different and delicious with beautiful plating!
