Cedar Court Inn, under new ownership as of 2019, offers a number of lodging options for your Door County vacation. From standard motel rooms (newly remodeled for the 2020 seaons) to specialty rooms with double whirlpool tub & fireplaces. We also offer 1, 2 & 3 bedroom cottages and condominium units. All have free WIFI & access to the outdoor pool. We are located in the heart of Fish Creek and have been told our location is the best one could ask for! Nestled on Cedar St. just off of Main St. we are steps away from shops, restaurants, and the marina. There is a large pool with a spacious deck. Plenty of options for sun or shade. The courtyard boasts the largest hotel green space in town. Picnic tables and seating are offered throughout the courtyard along with yard games and coming in July a gas fire pit. Having just completed a major remodel on the motel units we are working our way through the property to offer our guests clean, comfortable and updated accomodations.

We stayed there 6-10-22/6-13-22 We did stay in the main building rooms upstairs in back. Rooms were very small, although we didnt spend to much time there. few minor repairs could be made to the room. Bed frame was not good. Worst part for us was hearing was hearing peoples foot steps, walking past our room, just because of the wooden deck. not a big deal, but it was at 6 a.m! My biggest complaint...the rustic spring loaded screen doors, although they fit the rustic charm of the property and buildings, i was woken up each morning at 5:30-6:00am by these doors slamming! i did my best to hold the door so it wouldnt slam. Maybe rubber stoppers on the frame may help. Otherwise parking was available and it was a nice quite setting in the back. Close to harbor for nice walks down there and close walks to shops and down town area. Would i stay there again, maybe, but would for sure get a larger room.

Cute, cozy, and clean. My husband and I came up for our anniversary and stayed in suite/cottage 19. It is small, comfortable, private, and charming. Close to town, and only takes minutes to walk to majority of shops and dining. Peninsula state park is also very close.

My husband & I hadn’t been to Door County in 20+ years so I was heavily relying on Trip Advisor reviews and which properties still had availability. I decided on Cedar Court Inn & am so glad I did! We stayed in Unit 28, which has been renovated. The room was small on space but had lots of charm! The bed & pillows were comfy. The decor was cute. Everything was CLEAN! The bathroom was very cool with the black tile and ample size shower. We had two minor maintenance issues: 1. The shower stall leaks all over the bathroom floor. 2. The diverter on the shower head was broken so we only had the option of a rain shower. I swung by the office to let them know. They were super friendly & already knew about the diverter & had a call in to have it fixed. It wasn’t ruining our trip but you know how some people are. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We enjoyed our stay. The Inn is charming. The grounds are nice. I love that the rooms have screen doors on them. We could walk to the water & into town. I’d gladly stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us! I’m glad you enjoyed our place and everything was comfortable and clean!… both incredibly important to us! I want to apologize again for the shower issues. I appreciate your understanding! As mentioned we are replacing the diverter… awaiting parts and labor. Which as you probably know is a challenge these days but we are on top of it! I’d also like to thank you for pointing out the shower leak. Being a brand new shower I am disappointed you had issues but again appreciate your understanding. My hope is replacing the seal at the door and threshold will make things good as new. We do hope you come and visit us again sometime soon! Have a wonderful remainder of your summer!

About 8 P.M. on September 21, 2021, a working fire was reported in the second to last room in the strip part of the south end of the motel. A quick response from the Gibraltar Fire & Rescue and their quick knock-down of the flames saved the structure, however, the room was burned out and smoke damage was evident in adjacent rooms. Kudos to the lads for superb work!! Although cars were parked out front the next day, current occupancy and use of that building remains questionable. CALL the motel for current operations before booking. Given the age of the structure(locals call it the first motel in Fish Creek) which direction rehabilitation will go is unknown. Fortunately, no injuries were reported to our knowledge.

Hello, As the owner, best I clear up any questions on the status of the motel and other units. Correct, there was a fire isolated to one room. Only one room adjacent had minor damage and the smell of smoke. Both of these rooms are closed for the remainder of the season. The remaining rooms in that motel block were closed for a few days after the fire while the FD made certain there was no risk to those rooms. They are safe. No smoke damage or otherwise. The fire was an isolated event. In Winter of 2019 the entire building was gutted, brought up to code and rebuilt. Unfortunately a small appliance was the likely culprit. We have called all of the guests that the 2 rooms closed off will affect and provided alternate accommodations if possible. We did have a few reservations that we unfortunately were unable to "re-home" and for that we are truly sorry. The fire was completely out of our control and while we will rebuild the room, it is not something that will be completed in the last 3 weeks of our season. Guests with future reservations that did NOT get a call can safely assume their reservation is unaltered. Rest assured the property will be 100% open for the 2022 season. We thank God no one was hurt. As a matter of fact the entire building was out for dinner at the time of the fire. We hope a fire out of our control was not the reason we earned a 3 star review. I can't tell from your screen name what room you stayed in but if you were located in the motel I hope you were as pleased as I was with the care and concern my staff provided well into the night helping guests move to their new accommodations. Thank you

My sister and I stayed at the Cedar Court Inn this past weekend and we will absolutely be back! It is a beautiful property with clean updated rooms (we stayed in the budget friendly motel section), lovely courtyard with picnic tables, firepit & chairs, bags game, place to park bicycles & swimming pool. The location is perfect! Close to shops, restaurants and activities. We had plenty of room for our things & to get ready for the day. The room also had a screen door which was nice to let the fall breeze in.

We stayed here in August and it was very nice. Perfect location with free parking. They also had contactless key pickup which was nice but we were not greeted by any staff members the whole time we were there which was a little disappointing as they never got to make an impression.

We stayed at this property twice this summer - early July and late August. Have been going to Fish Creek for 30 years and never heard of it...it’s such a GEM!! Will stay here for every visit moving forward. The location could not be better...situated right between the boat docks and the downtown area. One block to Main St. and one block to the docks. You can walk everywhere. Adorable outdoor pool. The rooms all have screen doors and windows that open. Both rooms had high quality mattresses...I never sleep well in a hotel...but this place I looked forward to coming back to, because I slept so good the first time. It held true the second time. Very much an old school vibe, that you don’t find anymore. Rooms are CLEAN. This is the most important thing to me. Staff are down to earth and kind. If you want to spend less than $200 on an overnight in Fish Creek, this is the place to go!!

While I was a little nervous staying somewhere during a pandemic, the Cedar Court Inn quickly put my mind at ease. They have contact-less check in and check out. The room was super clean. No one enters your room during your stay. They have contact-less procedures for towel exchanges and trash emptying. The pool was great. Again, very clean and well-kept. They lend beach towels, board games, and yard games. It's only a block from the lake and very near sunset park. You can easily walk to see the sunrise and sunset. The beds were very comfortable. There was just a shower, but the water pressure was great. It's just off the busiest street, so restaurants and shops are walkable. Our room was right across from fairly busy shops. It was not loud, but didn't have a nice view either. Parking was super easy-right outside our room.

We stayed at cedar court inn for our anniversary, room 29. Beautiful room with a fireplace, hot tub, and a kitchenette. Definitely our favorite room there. The property is centrally located, easy walking distance to shopping, food, and the marina. But, the one thing i love about the property is, it is clean, immaculately so. I work for a major hotel group, and part of my job is checking safety, security, and cleanliness. Usually, i tear a room apart first after check in wherever i go, to see if its clean for my family. I did here the first few times. But now i just sit back and relax because i KNOW its clean. Inside the room, and around the property. I cant tell you how good it feels to not worry about that and actually relax. Yes, there are bigger names in door county, with bigger price tags too, and theyre not as clean. Thank you to the staff here for letting me unwind! Keep up the great work! Wife and I always enjoy our stays!

This is a charming inn, with such friendly and helpful owners! It's only their second season since buying the place from the prior owners who ran it for over 40 years. Our one night stay here, on a Sunday, was our first travel experience since Covid became an issue. We went to Door County to celebrate an anniversary, without a room reservation, not sure we'd stay overnight, but hoping we might feel comfortable enough to do so. Fish Creek wasn't experiencing big crowds and the sanitization and safety protocol put in place by the Cedar Court Inn satisfied us. We're very glad we stayed. There were many vacancies, and when we described the type of room we had in mind, they suggested room 25, then let us have a peek at it before booking it for us. (It was in the process of being cleaned and we didn't go in but just looked from the doorway.) The room was great. It's a corner room on the second floor, with a gas fireplace and, in the bathroom, a large tub with whirlpool jets. Our very large picture window gave us a view of the lake (a block away). I love it that all the rooms have screen doors. In our area, they opened onto a veranda shared with several other rooms, each having its own tea table and chairs outside the door. That shady veranda was a great place to sit and read a book. The inn has spacious grounds with picnic tables and a lovely white-fenced pool. When we went out for coffee at 7 a.m., we had Fish Creek all to ourselves. We only saw a couple other people on the streets, and the large restaurant we chose had only one other guest. It felt like visiting during a bygone era. Perhaps it's not like that on Friday or Saturday nights and will get more crowded as the summer goes on, but on a Sunday in mid-June, this was our experience! We've always loved small, family-run inns. They have so much more charm and character than business-class hotels. This one was super!
