Host Mike was friendly, accommodating and helpful. I usually stay with friends in Door County. This definitely was a close runner up. Close to good food and the water. Room is very comfortable. Coffee is provided in am
We originally booked for two nights to be close to our family who were staying in Fish Creek. After two days with family we decided to stay over another two days. Mike and Jamie made it all work smoothly so we didn't have to change rooms. We also were able to use their camping chairs to take to the jazz concert at the pavilion just a couple blocks away. A very friendly and warm atmosphere. We will be back. First time staying in Ephraim: the best choice in Door County.
Well you don't have to be worried about being cold here, the heating system works a little too well! You can't beat the location, Ephraim is in the middle of door county and easy access to everything. It also offers wonderful restaurants, sites, and shopping. Our party of four rented a two room "apartment". It was spacious and we appreciated having two bathrooms. The "covid kit and the coffee basket" were perfect, appreciated, and tasty (best coffee ever)! The rooms were very clean, yay!!! A few suggestions: 1. Update the decor 2. Add a "privacy film" to the bathroom windows because even with the blinds, you can see in to the bathroom from the outside. 3. Offer "magnify mirrors" in the bathroom, for us "mature gals" ;)
The location of this lodge is excellent. Set back away from the main highway, makes for a quiet, residential neighborhood. The lodge is walking distant from excellent restaurants such as the Chef's Hat as well as the waterfront. The owners are super nice and caring. They treat their guests like family. Breakfast was good with some glutenfree options which was a pleasant surprise. We reserved a room with a view but it was obstructed which was a real challenge to see the waterfront. Our room was nice and clean but the walls were thin so we could hear neighbors talking nearby. There was free wifi but not very fast. The decor could be updated. Microwave and mini fridge are included in the room. A pleasant stay.
We stayed here for 3 nights for our 30th anniversary. Checked in late Thursday night after attending a Packer game. Hosts were very accommodating and very helpful in giving us ideas of places to go and see. Weather may have been a little wet, but we very much enjoyed our time in Door County.
Had another great stay at Village Green Lodge. The rooms are clean and quiet, the breakfast is great. It is located close to Door County attractions but far enough away to be out of the "hustle and bustle". Mike & Jamie are great hosts, very informative and helpful.
I love this place! The owners Mike and Jamie add a great personal touch. Serving and caring for their guests! Rooms are clean! We have been staying here for the last at least 5 years! One block off the main drag so it’s not as noisy but an easy walk to Wilson’s or the lake! No kids under sixteen which is good for us. Always love our stay! The rooms have country charm Highly recommended!!
My friend and I spent 4 full glorious days at this Lodge. It is so conveniently located - we could walk to Bay or to restaurants and ice cream shop. Ephraim seems to be in center of the delightful fishing villages and so easy to get to from our Lodge. Jamie & Mike are awesome innkeepers! They made us feel so welcome that we wish we could go back every year. The breakfast was a great start for the day. We even took in the heated pool one day. The sunsets were breathtaking. Can't say enough about this area and our lodging!
This was my 3rd time to stay here. Is it fancy? No, but it’s quite adequate, very clean. Mike and Jamie became friends. Love the location, great pool, and delicious breakfasts. Very healthy offerings on the breakfast buffet. The friendly conversation during breakfast was very enjoyable. I love to meet new people! I highly recommend it.
I thought for $125 the room would be a little nicer but that was not the case. It appears that everything in the rooms are the original things from when the lodge was built. The carpets were filthy, I had white socks on and they were filthy after walking around on the carpet. It didn't appear to even have been vacuumed when we arrived. Everything in the room was old and worn. The walls are paper thin, we were awoken by the people talking very loudly in the room next door. The owners were very nice but I am afraid the quality of the rooms was very poor and we will not be back.
