We originally booked for two nights to be close to our family who were staying in Fish Creek. After two days with family we decided to stay over another two days. Mike and Jamie made it all work smoothly so we didn't have to change rooms. We also were able to use their camping chairs to take to the jazz concert at the pavilion just a couple blocks away. A very friendly and warm atmosphere. We will be back. First time staying in Ephraim: the best choice in Door County.

Well you don't have to be worried about being cold here, the heating system works a little too well! You can't beat the location, Ephraim is in the middle of door county and easy access to everything. It also offers wonderful restaurants, sites, and shopping. Our party of four rented a two room "apartment". It was spacious and we appreciated having two bathrooms. The "covid kit and the coffee basket" were perfect, appreciated, and tasty (best coffee ever)! The rooms were very clean, yay!!! A few suggestions:
1. Update the decor
2. Add a "privacy film" to the bathroom windows because even with the blinds, you can see in to the bathroom from the outside.
3. Offer "magnify mirrors" in the bathroom, for us "mature gals" ;)

Stayed for three nights. Room was large and clean. Grounds well kept. Quiet. Walking distance to bay and village sites. My partner said the coffee was quiet good. Both hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. (Note, there is one photo above which shows a very small room where the bed barely fits, we saw nothing like that.)

The location was great and the place was clean and safe. We stayed with another couple in a two bedroom spacious accommodation. There was a living room with a television for relaxing together. The furnishings were modest but fine. We were prepared to give the lodge a five star review and recommend it to other friends who travel to this location every summer. However, what soured us a bit was that we had a conversation with Michael one morning and I inquired about splitting the bill which had been charged to one couple. He looked up our reservation and said that actually, we owed an additional $200 for our four night stay because we had 4 people in the room instead of two. The room had been booked on a third party website with no mention of charges for additional people. I have never stayed in a place which charged extra beyond the room charge and there was no mention of the policy on the booking site. Why would anyone book a spacious two bedroom lodging if they didn’t have four people. I thought that perhaps Michael was just having a bad day and dropped the matter.

On the day of checking out, our friends, who had booked the room, received a phone call from Michael asking how our stay was and we said it was terrific. He told them that he was going to charge their credit card an additional $200. They explained that there was no mention of charges for additional guests and he said that this was the policy and ignorance of the policy was no excuse. They suggested splitting the difference with a $100 charge but he was adamant. He could have charged the $200 and provided us with a credit toward our next stay but there was no flexibility. We were told that the property had recently changed owners and it makes sense that the new owners are probably new to the business. Another review talked about their inflexibility in canceling a reservation. I understand the need to have policies but the inability to compromise cost them a customer and recommendations to friends and online future customers over a small amount of money. If you stay at the property, realize that if anything happens beyond the ordinary, there will be no compromise.

This place is fine for unfussy adults who are looking for a quiet place to stay in a good location that’s walking distance to town. The rooms can use an update. Mix-matched furniture, outdated bathrooms and old carpet. If this is going to bother you, then you should look elsewhere. I don't know if it’s accurate to call it a B&B. Breakfast is packaged oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and coffee.

Booked via Delta Stays (Expedia Backend), and inquired for possible steps when canceling a booking.

Upon reaching out thru Expedia support, I got informed that they went ahead to cancel the booking WITHOUT CONFIRMING with a $25 Administration Fee.

Do not book if flexibility matters to you! :)

My husband and I visited this lodge this past weekend for a wedding. Our stay was wonderful. The host- Michael- was as nice as a person could be- accommodating, personable, and downright the host with the most. We will be staying with him again as well as telling anyone going to the area!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and the location is great, as it is within walking distance to downtown Ephraim. The adults only atmosphere and quiet grounds make it restful. Mike the owner, is kind, hardworking and fun. We met some nice couples over morning coffee.

Our second year here on the same weekend. First year was a girls' trip to see the lavender festival on Washington Island, second year we brought our partners. Lovely spot to stay to explore the best of Door County. Easy to get to, comfortable and welcoming. Mike and staff do a great job. Walk to the harbor, Wilson's, fish boil or breakfast at The Old Post Office. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Love the Philly pride flag out front, all are welcome here

Breakfast is the only meal served at the Lodge. However, the Chef Hat restaurant is excellent and open for lunch. It is only about a block away from the Lodge. When we stay at the Village Green Lodge, we frequently eat dinner there.
