First time staying here and it won't be the last. Loved the little welcome snacks & water. Great view of the water. Spacious room with comfy bed and couch. Nice little deck to sit out on and watch the sunset over the water. Bathroom was fine, nice low step tub so easy to get in to. Convenient location, plenty of parking. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Could use some USB plugs but other than that it was great.
I recently came back from a lovely family vacation in Door County. My husband and I come every year at the end of August for our anniversary but this time we took our kids with us. (We are still going on our own in August 😉). Because it was a family vacation we stayed at the family friendly resort. I would like to give a shout out to Pine Grove Resort for the clean, comfortable, friendly facility. The concierge/ reception person was always helpful and smiling. The room was clean and comfortable. There were freshly baked cookies in the afternoon, as well as wine and cheese tasting. The continental breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate to start your day. Fresh coffee, water and lemonade was always available. The pool was nice, clean and specious. And the location was lovely, right on Hwy 42 overlooking the water and a private access to the water. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. I believe that we should always credit businesses that provide a great service. If we come again with children, we will definitely stay at Pine Grove again. 😊…
This was our first time in Door County and on the recommendation of a friend we stayed at the Pine Grove. The location is excellent. Ephraim was less busy than Fish Creek or Egg Harbor. Our balcony room was a great place for breakfast and wine and Wisconsin goodies in the evening. What a view! Everything was clean and well maintained and our check in was quick and easy. If we are fortunate enough to return to Door County, we will definitely stay at The Pine Grove.
While we have made a number of trips to the Door County Peninsula this was our first say here. It's a very nice motel in a good location. Spacious rooms with balconies, a nice pool area & a breakfast room. They also provided a large bag of snacks in the room, which was nice. They had various COVID protocols in effect but it was still a pleasant stay. I would like to see what other amenities there are once things are back to normal.
Excellent Property. Well maintained. Room was the cleanest I have had in my travels. Staff is very friendly. Room 216 - Upper with balcony - lake view. Very quiet - well constructed buildings - doors do not slam. Hotel was 100% booked and you did not even hear your fellow guests. Comfortable pillow top mattress queen beds with four pillows each. Short walk across the street for use of their chairs overlooking the lake. They light fire pits at night. Also has gazebo and grill. Due to COVID - no daily cleaning unless requested but anything you need you complete a form and leave out in the morning and staff leaves outside your door. Supper fast service. Thank you Rita and your wonderful staff for enjoyable stay. We definitely would book again.
Ultra clean rooms with a perfect layout. Enjoyed the balcony, the pool and the waterfront. Friendly people and a very nice breakfast. Love the location near restaurants and the marina. We look forward to our next visit. We have stayed in Door Co. several times and this is our favorite spot. Richard and Rose.
The hotel was very clean. The rooms were quite. The pool was well maintained. The to go breakfast was great. They had a nice variety of food and beverages. We enjoyed the Firepit on the bay. Excellent view. Great sunset view. Perfect location for visiting Washington island.
Disappointed to say the least. Advertised as lake view but unless you were sitting on the couch next to the window or sitting on the balcony you couldn’t see the lake. The hotel room was nothing more than a standard room. Nothing special for charging double the price of another hotel in the area. No breakfast items available, we were told it was discontinued for the season. I understand the pandemic probably had something to do with this but for the price we paid, they could have provided something other than coffee, tea and hot chocolate and a prepackaged Chips Ahoy cookie. On the positive side, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Just VERY OVER PRICED.
I stayed here last year had a better experience. I always come with family this year we had two rooms last year we had three. This year I called day ahead to see if I could have a first floor and I called late was not able to get one. I walk with a cane, I am semi disabled. We stayed in room 201 the bed is very high, the tub is tall and there are no bars to assist you to get in and out of. My husband who is a hiker said it was hard for him to get in and out of it reminds me of that was a former jacuzzi tub and they put a new plastic tub over it. No jets but tall and deep like that .The sink is so small has no room to put your toiletries. They somewhat remodeled new entry floor looked nice, same old carpet, new drawers, old couch and two chair and a table that are very small so with covid if you wanted to eat inside the room you can’t do it. They have a great balcony with a view but it was raining. I came to door county three times this year and this resort I will not rebook. Things were clean but no way comfortable. The view is great, and I should add because of the location of the room all night til 2 am people were smoking and chatting on the deck. Had to close the sliding door and could still hear them. 204 was our other room beds lower and shower. The resort was decorated cute with spray painted pumpkins. …
I love the hospitality I receive every time I visit Pine Grove Resort. Just recently stayed there and it was amazing. This was the 2nd time this year I visited Door County to get away from all the Covid craziness. Hoping to visit next May 2021. Thanks for a great stay.
