Stay in our family owned, 1-3 bedroom vintage cottages equipped with a full kitchen, full bath, and a fireplace or wood stove (except in two cottages). Each cottage has a distinct personality and is decorated (Door County cherries, fishing, lighthouses, the beach, etc) to reflect that distinct personality. The entire property is situated in a private, comfortable and safe setting. Listen to the birds sing every morning from your front deck while your fur babies or your children romp around our big, safe yard and play structure. Walk across the street to the beach, or to shops and restaurants in downtown Ephraim. Cuddle up to a warm fire with a good book on a rainy or chilly day. And as the day winds down, join everyone out at the fire pit for s’mores while enjoying a favorite beverage and gazing at the stars shining bright in the night sky. We invite you to step back to a simpler time where people focus on each other and everyone takes home memories as a vacation souvenir. We look forward to meeting you and hosting you as our guests.

Having visited Door County in 2019 for the Sister Bay Fall Festival, we couldn’t wait to return and to again stay at Ephraim Village Cottages! Of course the Coronavirus pandemic changed the tune of our trip, but we were even more excited about the ability to escape for a weekend trip after so many months of staying at home. Daryl is such an excellent and accommodating owner and truly makes guests feel like family during their stay. We visited with another couple and booked both the Cozy Brook cottages (north and south) which allowed us our own space but have an adjoining door to allow for time spent together. The cottages are quaint and perfectly clean, and we felt very comfortable and safe even despite the ongoing pandemic. And we loved the fireplace (with plenty of firewood provided), which made the cottage feel so cozy at night! Tip: As stated on the website, do be sure to bring your own towels, both kitchen and bath, as these are not provided. Fortunately for us, there were numerous opportunities for socially-distanced outdoor adventures (so many beautiful state and county parks with incredible Fall colors) within a 15-20 minute drive of EVC, and many restaurants still offered outdoor dining despite the lower temperatures this time of year. We had a wonderful, safe, and relaxing vacation and we are already looking forward to returning to Ephraim Village Cottages again next year! Thank you, Daryl and Ruann!

Hi Rachel and THANKS for a very very nice review! So happy that you and your friends could enjoy the adjoining cottages. We are glad when our guests utilize the fireplaces because it adds an ambiance to the stay as well as provide warmth. We have a few upgrades in the works in 2021. Our plan is to put king size beds in both the Cozy Brook North and South cottages which will most definitely be a perk for many of our guests. Thank you for mentioning the bath towels and such. Our confirmations share that information with all our guests so we encourage everyone to read their confirmations. Hope to see you in 2021!

Photos show you exactly what to expect. Its not a high end cottage, it is a clean, quant little cottage. Key word being clean. Had the Bayview II for four nights, Darryl (owner) is very friendly and accommodating. The unit was very clean, but it was last remolded in the 80's and reminds me of my Grandmothers house, but it was CLEAN, affordable and the location was great. Everything worked fine. Traveled with 3 kids and had a lovely time. Internet was fast enough to do virtual school on Friday with no issues. 15mbps up and about 15 mbps down. Otherwise, enjoy Door County and the Cottage.

Thank you Kevin for your very kind review. We definitely don't advertise our cottages as high end, but we do advertise them as clean with an amazing location. The cottage you stayed in is slotted for new furniture in 2021. It all takes time after buying this property in March 2020. Thank you also for the shout out on our internet. That is the biggest investment we made this year with receivers and transmitters all across our 3 acres. Your review let us know that it paid off! Hope to see you again in 2021.

This was my first visit to the Cottages. I came for a wedding. Our cottage was Meadowview II. The kitchen was Country kitchen with a rooster motif......all of the little details other folks may not get or appreciate...I did..I noticed the darling theme. The cottage was clean and sparkling. It smelled heavenly. I had a queen bed all to myself, and it was the best most relaxing sleep I have had in years. I normally get up in the night...but I slept right through to morning. The bathroom was clean and shiny. The towels were white and fluffy. My bed was a little high...for a short person...but I slept like a rock...(insert Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band music). The sheets were amazing and the bedroom was clean and inviting. I loved how fresh it felt in our cottage. We had great snacks and coffee and tea provided with everything you would need in a kitchen. These things might seem trivial but all of those little details make a house away from home...a home. I loved the grounds, the fire pit was fun and lively..It was pretty cold at night....just like it is here in Sunriver OR, this time of year. What a fun time I had. Making new friends and definatelly making a plan to come back and bring my husband. Due to flight snafus, I didnt get to explore the little town like I wanted to. Im coming back! Thanks so much to Daryl and Ruann and the whole staff at Ephraim Cottages! I had a great time and cant wait to come back.

Have been coming to Door County for over 26 years and this is our second stay at Ephraim Village Cottages this year! Will not stay anywhere else this is our new favorite place! Owners Daryl and Ruann are like long time friends you have known since childhood, they really know what Hospitality means and their personalities and Cottages reflect it! It's like your little home away from home and they are spotless! You feel like you've gone back in time to a simpler time where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors, step across the street to the beach, and maybe even meet new friends around the shared fire pit. But there are just enough modern touches including WiFi and televisions should you want that. Oh and did I mention the owners surprised us with a bottle of Door County wine to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!?? Thoughtfulness like this is rare these days especially during a pandemic, you can actually relax and have fun here. So whether you rent a larger Cottage to invite your whole family or a quaint romantic getaway for two, you won't be disappointed, highly highly recommend!
