This was Our 7th year coming back to hy land RV park Ownership and helping hands are awesome, very well maintained and friendly, quiet park , lots of dark sky, stars & beautiful weather. Cherry picking is fun! I suggest mid July thru mid August, lots goes on locally , fishing at gills rock for smallmouth bass is good.

My husband and I took our small motorhome to this campground Oct. 17th-22nd. The season was winding down, so many campers had left. This is a family owned site with all motorhomes and tents welcome. The owner came out and took care of right away and offered us a tv cable and said her husband would be glad to help us hook it up if we wanted to watch cable, we didn't use that service however. nice showers and toilets on site. We did make reservations. Easy access, right off highway 42 north, with two entrances. Our dog enjoyed walking around greeting other pups! Water and electric hook-up.

After four other places in the Upper Peninsula, we ended our fall trip here. Best by a long shot. Groomed, graveled, level, spacious, clean, everything in good shape, especially picnic table and fire pit. WiFi was typically spotty, but everything else was in good order. Cameron was helpful and friendly. BEAUTIFUL in the fall! Close enough and far enough from the attractions. I feel a duty to review this place as it’s well deserved, but I’d rather keep it a secret for selfish reasons. Well done Hy-Land.

A terrific RV park…mostly because of the immense rooooom between the coaches out in the new, open area. The forest sites looked attractive (they also had nice roomy spots) but the unshaded area was so peaceful, spacious and you have a much better look at the night stars. Easy check-in, envelopes with our information and site were in it. Cash or check only. We booked months in advance by sending in a deposit check. Easy to navigate the park. WiFi worked off and on. Never used the facilities. No pool. Great fire pit area that were not that close to our unit and the will deliver the wood or you can pick it up at the office. Trash pickup at your site…nice.Sewer and water all worked fine. Did not use any cable. Back-in site to a row of oak trees which gave great afternoon shade. Nice. The stone gravel was terrific…no muddy shoes to bring into the coach. Spent a week and would like to have stayed longer if we did not have future planned spots ahead on our calendar. We’d like to come back in the fall to see the colors. Highly recommended. The cherry crisp at the cherry store across the street is fantastic! We kayaked in Europe Lake and up the Mink RIver from Rowley's Bay. The north area is much quieter and peaceful than the south. Try Charlie's Smokehouse...great smoked Salmon.

We stayed in the new section, not many trees, level gravel sites, plenty of space for your tow vehicle as well as space between RV’s. We were there for two weeks in July 2020. The park staff was friendly and accommodating, we did not use the laundry or bath room facilities.

We stayed in the newer section (July 2020) which is wide open with good spacing between sites. Gravel sites, fairly level, and wide interior roads. Power, water pressure & quality, and sewer were all good. This section did not have the cable hookups installed yet, but the cabling is there for future installation. They do have WiFi that is very basic which is fine for basic surfing, mail, etc., however is does lose its internet connection too often. They also have interior sites with more shade available. They take excellent care of the campground and are very friendly. AT&T tower is in site from the new section, so signal is excellent. My T-Mobile hotspot had zero signal and that is with a roof mounted antenna. It’s a great location to visit Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, or explore the northern tip of the peninsula. They do have three entrances into the campground and the second one is best for checking in and the third one is best for the new section. We will definitely stay here in the future.

This is an extremely nice campground. It is well run, clean and quiet. It is easily one of the nicest campgrounds my wife and I have every stayed at. Almost every campsite has full hookups. The sites are very spacious and level. If you want shaded back-in or pull-through sites, they have them. If you want pull throughs for your big rigs out in the open for your satellite TV, there are dozens of them as well! You will not be disappointed!!!

Stayed here 3 nights. Very clean and well kept. There is the older section ..very Good and shady. Newer section sunny and they are adding more sections in the same area. My rating for this new part not as high because far from showers and bathrooms.( Much closer in the older section). Good wifi but not strong enough for Smart TV. They advertise cable but it is only available in the old section and not in the New section sites C10 to C16. Over the air channels only. Laundry older appliances and not a lot of machines and not open 24/7. Office has plenty of quarters for you. The charge here was very reasonable for RV parks in this very high tourist area. Also, they do not require a payment when you make reservation, but you pay by cash or check when you arrive. Personally, we liked this as we were booking parks one or two days before arrival while on the road. Would recommend this park in Door county.
