We cannot imagine there can be a better B and B anywhere. The lounge areas, pool area, dining room, our bedroom and the gardens were all wonderful, the breakfasts outstanding and Karen and John as hosts made us feel like friends. We hope to return and can thoroughly recommend Ye Olde Manor House.
Celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary here. Karen and John could not be better hosts! The house was incredibly unique and the grounds were relaxing and charming. 18 min drive to Lake Geneva. Slept like a baby on the firm mattresses and nicely chilled room! The rooms do not have TVs but we actually preferred it that way! They have a little mini fridge upstairs w soda, water, and juice plus a Keurig. Didn’t get a chance to try the pool out but it looked very well maintained and inviting! Super super clean place and you can tell they care deeply about their guests health and safety. Recommend! We will be back!
Karen and John's B&B has it all: a beutiful, natural setting w/ fireplaces inside and out, , seating areas, wildflowers, and indoor-outdoor olympic-size swimming pool! (Also a clear, Wisconsin lake across the road! ) Breakfasts offer tasty and healthy organic choices ! Everything is squeaky clean and material for the curious is everywhere: mags, books, cds, you name it, you'lll probably find it. The countryside location offers excellent restaurants nearby, including in Lake Geneva, a 12 minute ride. Karen and John are warm, outstanding human beings. This is quiet, private, just like the best home-of-your own you have dreamed of.
Great breakfast, coffee, and the innkeepers were wonderful. I needed a cell phone charger when I arrived late on Friday night and Karen was able to locate one for me. Breakfast was fresh and delicious both mornings. Thank you for a relaxing weekend, it was exactly what I needed.
John and Karen are great hosts. I believe this is was our 4th our 5th time there. They have a beautiful and comfortable home. The grounds are huge. There are plenty of places to relax and have a large outdoor firepit. The breakfasts are amazing. There are a couple of awesome restaurants nearby [Holi Cannoli about 1.5 miles away, and Nite Cap Inn (get the fried chicken), in Palmyra about 9 miles north of Ye Olde Manor House] you must go here!
If I could give 10 stars I would!!! We had the most amazing time at Ye Olde Manor House! John and Karen are the most excellent hosts! From their friendly hospitality to the amazing breakfasts, they are wonderful!!! They made us feel so welcome as soon as we walked in the door! The home is spacious and clean and we loved our room with the little deck, where we sat outside at night and gazed at the stars! We cannot wait to be able to come back again!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!
Ye Olde Manor House is simply lovely! Clean, quiet, pretty and very close to my families place which made it super convenient for us. Karen and John are an interestingly smart couple who are kind, generous and make a wonderful Breakfast!!!! They treated us like family.
It's my first visit and I wish I would find this place earlier. First, gardens surrounding the house has flowers, trees, bird-feeders and sitting areas greeted the guests. Inside you can feel the character of the hosts; it has multiple sofa sets around this big house, books, games, decorations, water, coffee, and even a swimming pool. We booked the room with the balcony, and you can sit there just enjoying the clear sky in the night and coffee in the morning. The room is spacious and comfortable and classic. Finally, the breakfast is tasty with fresh ingredients from the garden. Hosts Karen and John are first-grade hosts and very responsive.
We loved the set up. It's a unique place, but with lots of charm. Features: Many rooms, pool, large back yard, many rooms, the best hosts one can ask for. Very charming people with lots of experience in hospitality. We went for an all guys bachelor party and found the allure of some of the activities close by such as downtown bars, golf courses, and local lakes. Also, very clean for covid protocols
John and Karen are fabulous innkeepers and hosts. Amazing breakfasts, lodging and hospitality. We are definitely going back over and over again. (Also there is a supper club about 10 miles north of Ye Olde Manor House in a town called Palmyra. It's called Nite Cap Inn. Best crunchiest fried chicken ever. Crowded on Friday, but less busy on Saturday. Excellent Wisconsin Old Fashioneds)
