Very nice staff, great view of Egg Harbor, good location overall for Door County. Would definitely stay there again. Pros: This small resort has a million-dollar view, private patio, nice kitchenette that included coffee for the coffee pot. Cons: The breakfast was just okay, and the bathroom baseboards could use a good cleaning.
We have stayed here many times. Our experience has been consistently great. This trip was no exception. Outstanding view and comfortable, quiet well-appointed rooms. COVID protocols were excellent. The usual breakfast in the breakfast room became room service. Touch less check- in and check- out.
This is our second time staying at the Bay Point Inn. We love it there. We have stayed both times on the second level-spectacular views! It is a great location. The new Covid check in and departure was super simple-no contact with unnecessary staff or guests. Glad we were able to book a last minute two night stay. Trees were still full of color.
We spent a week at Bay Point Inn. We had a premier patio suite - room 13. There was a mix up when we got there, as the expected envelope with our keys was missing. I went to the lobby to ask - and he tried to use another key to get in. The deadbolt was locked, which meant someone was in there or outside. He went around to the back and found the young couple that somehow had taken our envelope (even though our name was on it!). Their room was 14 next to us - and their envelope was still there waiting for them! They apologized as they left! The suites are nicely appointed and you can tell they were recently renovated - with a living room with a couch and chair - with a table and two chairs right under the window facing the bay. There's a fireplace in the corner with a TV above it. There's a sliding glass door that opens up to a spacious patio - with two comfortable chairs and a table - perfect for relaxing with a drink while watching the sunset. The kitchen is small but has everything you'd need - a refrigerator, stove top, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, dishwasher and all the plates, glassware and silverware you need. The bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed with two end tables (both have drawers) and then a full mirrored closet. The bedroom and bathroom have pocket doors - to not take up any space. We wanted a first level room - as we have arthritis. All the rooms have great views over Egg Harbor - but I'm sure the second floor views are even better. The patios have more room than the balconies, though. The only negative was that you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around and hear when the toilet above flushes. So second level rooms would be quieter. The sliding glass door latch didn't connect to lock - but they had a bar that would swing down to keep the door from opening. They usually offer an upgraded continental breakfast above the lobby - but with Covid, they instead allow you to order breakfast on a swing tag and hang it outside your door the prior night. You can pick delivery times (first at 7:45am and I think last was 9am) and they leave your tray on a stand outside your door and knock. We did that two mornings. They offer a choice of quiche, fruit, scones as well as juices, tea or coffee. They normally would have maid service - but with Covid they can't do that. They have swing tags where you can request clean towels or other toiletry items that they'll leave on your stand. We left used towels - as well as garbage - in bags outside our door. We would definitely stay here again! With just 10 rooms, it's very peaceful and beautifully landscaped. The view over the bay from the bluff the inn is on is wonderful, too!…
We stayed here for our 20th anniversary weekend and absolutely loved it. The view can’t be beat and the rooms are spacious Yes . We loved the location and privacy. Breakfast was basically just a notch above continental with quiche and waffles made in a waffle maker that most hotels offer. The view and spacious rooms are what set this place apart.
Wonderful breakfasts. Fabulous view of Lake Michigan. Quiet and peaceful. We keep coming back. Is, however, a bit pricey but offset by the size of the rooms.Even has a lovely pool but a bit chilly in September,,
We stayed in the Estate Villa. The room was beautiful with stunning views. The bed was large and comfortable. A bit more attention could have been paid to details. There was a stain on the duvet. Yuck. Five pillows, two guests, simple math would give both guests equal pillows. About 6am I heard every person going upstairs to breakfast on the stairs over our room. A stroll through the garden didn’t take much as there was only a small Path. I had high expectations for breakfast and was disappointed. Small section but pastries were delicious. If I were to stay here again I would definitely pick a different room. These may seem like simple things but when you pay over $300 a night it’s nice to have luxury.
We decided to visit Door County for the first time on our 25th Anniversary. It was great! We stayed in room 11 on the main floor. The kitchen was well appointed with plates, cups and measuring spoons. We made our breakfast there as we are eating healthy foods, and prepared our lunches before we left for the day. We had the trolley set up to pick us up and drop us off for the wine tasting trip. Glad we did as we had our plenty to drink🍷🍷. This was done months before hand with the help of the staff. We had a sunset dinner in our room with a wedding cake topper made in the likeness of our original wedding cake! Nice job and the cake was fantastic along with the meal. We took our bikes along and spent a full day biking at all the local state parks. You can easily walk to downtown from the hotel. We did so even after the wine tasting tour. There was so much to do, we didn’t get to the pool. I guess we need to go back someday. Thank you for the fun time and we really enjoyed the place…
My husband and I stayed here for the first time but have been to door county many times over the years. We stayed here because it’s as relatively close to the triathlon site. We were in room 23 on the 2nd level and slightly away from the pool area, which was nice. We were both pleased with our room and loved our patio set up with a view of the lake. We utilized the small kitchen and it was well stocked with lots of classes, oven, stove top, fridge/freezer, and toaster. The living room was on the smaller size but perfect for 2 people. We did not utilize the breakfast, we took a look the 2nd night but were not impressed with the options so we walked to village cafe across the road and happy we did, I would recommend it! The location of bay point is just about perfect, just slightly outside of downtown but close enough to walk there or drive to the other northern towns. I would absolutely stay here again if wanted to be in Egg Harbor and for a nice romantic getaway, but would recommend booking early with only 10 rooms available. …
We spent two nights at Bay Point Inn and wish it could have been longer! Our room (or suite, rather) was very spacious and had an incredible and private water view, as each of their rooms does. The complimentary breakfast was also wonderful. Staff gave us great recommendations for dinner (Fireside and White Gull Inn). Out-of-season pricing is really reasonable and there was plenty to do (wineries, shopping, hiking, etc.) We can’t wait to come back and will definitely stay here again!
