First time camping in a towable camper. This camp ground is very nice if you want secluded and quiet. The place is family owned and operated and they are great! Kelsey remembers all of the camper's names and always greats everyone pleasantly. If you need anything or help, they drop everything to make sure you're good!

The sites are clean and neat and everything works. The main building with the showers and bathrooms is very clean and well maintained. Thanks for the positive experience!

I am not at all someone that leaves reviews, this may be my third one ever. I decided to do a two-part review because when I called the lady that helped me was just that very helpful and made me feel like I was coming to visit friends for the week not coming to someone's business for the week. I feel bad because I can't remember the ladies name, but she took the time to walk me through what would be best for me since I have a camper and it's my first camper ever, so I'm still green to all the little tricks and things to know, by the way I didn't ask for help she just helped. don't find that much anymore. I Love that they have it a rule that you must take your dogs with and not leave them in the camper because anything could happen. A lot of places we have went to in the past for tent camping say there dog friendly but most of the time you can hear the Annoyance in there voice the minute you say pet. Not this place they were almost happy it seemed like to hear the dogs were coming, kind of like an all are welcome theme. So, I will update this review when the trip is over, but we haven't even gotten there, and I feel well taken care of and welcomed. very HI hopes for this little Vacation, we get to take one a year because we run two tourist attractions in the WI DELLS, so it means that much more to us. we look forward to seeing you in a couple of days

We have camped at Monument Point for several years - first occasionally, but have been seasonal for the past 10+ years. Our daughters have grown up over the years and still love coming here. The campground is well-cared for, the facilities are very clean, the people friendly and we're close to a great boat launch as well as beaches. There is a ton to do in Door County, so even on a rainy day we can have fun. The campground is quiet and low-key, which is perfect for us.

I can't say enough about how awful the woman who ran the place was. Sure the campground was beautiful but we barely noticed because we were seeing red all weekend. My family and a friend and her family camp together most weekends of the season. Typically we get sites together as we share meals and go between each others campers. Together we have 5 children that live to play together. First off my friend called to make the reservations with the camp ground map in hand. She explained what we would like and requested 2 septic sites. The woman told her the sites she requested we not near each other even though that is what the map shows. My friend questioned the woman's suggestions to which she replied, "don't you think I know my own campground?" My friend assumed she did and booked the sites the lady suggested. When she arrived the sites were not together at all. They were nearly a block apart! The sites she was requesting we as she suspected right across from each other. She went back to the desk and asked if we could place our campers on one site and our cars on the other considering the distance. She laughed at my friend, told her absolutely not. And said she had never heard such a ridiculous request before. I arrived with my family a couple hours later. It was about 8pm. When checking in she commented on how late I was coming in. I brushed it off. Then she informed me that we better hurry up and feed our kids or do whatever we plan on doing with them because they have to be in bed by 10pm! Now I have heard of quite time, and curfews for kids but bedtimes?!?!? Um no! We went to our site to set up and tried our best to salvage the evening it was cold, dark and we were hungry and irritated. The campground was totally dark so set up was a challenge and The path to the bathroom was treacherous so we used a coffee can after dark. The next morning we enjoyed our breakfast and looked around the campground which was beautiful. There was very little for children to do however so we headed into town. We enjoyed the pumpkin patch festival in egg harbor before heading back to camp. As we prepared our meals we let the children play at the park. Our site was near the park so we could easily see them through the trees. Suddenly my 4 year old came running back crying with his ten year old sister trailing behind. It turns out that he attempted to touch the volly ball net (he couldn't reach because he is too short) and the campground owner screamed at him from the window. He was terrified. There was no need to use that tone with a toddler...any child really. I decided to go into the store and have a little chat. As soon as I entered she confronted me. "Did ur little one run and tell u he got yelled at?" "Yes he did" that was me!" "Yes, I figured" "he can't be touching that net" "Mam, he can't reach the net and I will reprimand him when it is needed do YOU worry about that" she huffed and walked away. We packed up and left then. It was the last straw for me. We talked to some of the seasonals and they said they mostly ignore her . She has rules for everything that you won't find at most campgrounds. She is generally grumpy and has no business running a campground. I noticed that the first thing it says in the description is family friendly...that is a lie.

When do I begin? What a to TOP RATE resort campground!

if I could give a rating beyond 5 stars I would. First of all the host and hostess were so accommodating. DEB AND TRENT are absolutely amazing.

We are beginner campers. First of all, the weather wasn't that great, but DEB's warm reception made us feel as though the sun was shining.

The campground entry driveway creates the fabric of peace. It is a beautiful and well kept and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. . It was quiet, relaxing and peaceful. We encountered a few of our personal issues of getting acclimated to camping and every turn that we took, they made sure we were handled with extreme professionalism. They were no rookies in delivering customer service. They accommodated our needs 110% of the way.
Also, I lost my wallet on the drive around the roads. Trent actually rode over it by accident and felt the bump. Stopped to check what he ran over, and it was my WALLET! It was full of charge cards and some cash. Can you believe they brought it to my campsite? I was amazed at that level of honesty. My husband is a retired sheriff from SHAWANO county and he remarked that these two people are a rarity in today's world. As I said, we are beginners. Trent came to our campsite when it was time to leave and helped my husband get the stabilizer bar on and also helped with stabilizing a fender I just banged up in my brand new truck. Every time they helped out they did it in a humble fashion.
As we drove away, my inner thoughts knew I would be doing this review! Why? because I want each and every person to know that you must TRUST this campground is clean, safe, run with care, concern and love. I feel confident that you can do business with MONUMENT POINT CAMPGROUND IN STURGEON BAY. and have a haven of peace there.
If I could bottle up their professionalism and their dedication to serve and it could be sold, I would be a wealthy woman.

book your site with confidence!!!!

This is a very neat, quiet family-owned campground in a wooded setting with both pull through and back in sites. Bathrooms/showers were immaculate. Roads (gravel) and sites well maintained. We would definitely return to this campground in the future and are recommending it to our friends who go to Door County. Well situated just north of Sturgeon Bay, 1 mile west of Highway 42 (the BP station is great landmark on 42!)

Our first road trip. Destination - North. Objective - a reasonable rate for a weeks visit to Door County, WI. Monument Point Campground - location ideal. It is conveniently located, especially for the boat launch we would be using; George K. Pinky Park located at Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay waters. The campground was woodsy, clean and quiet. Electric hook-up at site. Water and dump station at office. Bath house very clean and camp hosts very friendly. Cash or checks only, no credit cards.

We stayed at Monument Point Camping for 6 nights and had a fantastic experience. If you are looking for a relaxing laid back camping experience, this is certainly for you. It is a very quiet place so if you are looking for a place to party till the wee hours of the morning, I would strongly suggest to look elsewhere. I'm sure the owner/operators of the campground would agree. In all my years of traveling all across the country, I have never seen shower facilities and restrooms as well maintained and clean. It is abundantly clear that the owners take pride in their campground and it's facilities. That means a lot to me as I have paid a lot more for a site and received far less in return. Everything in the campground is impeccably maintained. Upon check in, Deb provided us with a lot of literature and advice about what to do in Door county and the in's and out's of the best ways to get around and what attractions may best suited to our needs and preferences. Doug went as far as to help my brother and his family with an issue with their camper and they both shared with all of us tips regarding their experiences as long time campers. Everyone in my group appreciates their hospitality and very much look forward to visiting them again. A sincere thank you to both of you for your beautiful facility and your hospitality!

My husband has wanted a campsite in Door County for years. Until we came upon this site, I would not consider it. All other campgrounds seemed noisy with sites too close together. Upon meeting the campground owners, we knew we found the exact right place to get away. Very clean showers and restrooms. Beautiful campsites. The owners do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. We are planning to be seasonal campers for years to come!
