On the waterfront of the Eagle River chain of 28 lakes between Watersmeet and Yellow Birch lakes. The Inn has 14 cozy knotty pine paneled rooms. The 6 waterfront cottages have kitchens with enclosed porches. Enjoy the private grounds sunbathing, volleyball, a few shots at hoops, fishing off the dock, wading in the water and finish the day by roasting marshmallows on the fire pits. We are encompassed by Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest, Northern Highland American Legion Sate Forest and Vilas County Forest that have XC ski, bike and hiking trails. Enjoy a day of fishing for Muskies, Walleye, Bass or pan fish in one of the over 1300 lakes or Trout in one of the many clear streams. Look for a Bald Eagle, Ruff Grouse, Deer, Bear or any of the other wildlife. We have access to over 600 miles of groomed Snowmobile Trails just across the street. Being only one mile west of downtown Eagle River, other activities and dining are a quick walk or drive. For those of you that need the outside connections we have cable TV and Wireless Internet Connections or just sit near the water’s edge and relax.

Like the wife said, vacation was over too soon. I enjoyed napping on the dock, fishing line in the water. Cabin 2 was fabulous--grounds were peaceful and quiet, even with the local Canada geese visiting on and off. Even our dog enjoyed the stay. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Fritz!

Fritz seems like a nice enough and friendly guy. The room was clean and in good repair. It's very dated and has seen better days. It has in room coffee, refrigerator, and microwave. Beds were comfortable and generally we slept well but had to shut the window air conditioner off due to the noise. We had to keep our dog off the grass as there was so much goose poop around.

Just spent another week here, vegging and fishing. For once, no rain the whole time we were there. Didn’t want to leave, but are planning on returning again. Pet friendly, and our elderly dog enjoyed himself.

Picture-perfect North-Woods lodge, very reasonably priced. Owner was very personable and helpful. The rooms are as attractive and comfortable as the exterior. Rooms with a river view are especially nice. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights on a trip to the Wisconsin's Northwoods. Terrific location close to town yet quiet and peaceful. If you have your heart set on top flight luxury accommodations, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for an impeccably clean, well-equipped cabin literally feet from the water's edge, with extremely comfortable beds, fast wifi and working satellite tv at a reasonable price than this is it. Dog friendly to boot, so we were able to bring our little buddy with us. We rented a boat for the length of our stay and were able to tie up on the dock right in front of our cabin--how convenient is that! Fritz, the owner, is a great guy and was extremely patient with us as we had to make some changes after our original booking due to a family emergency. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.…

Husband and I enjoyed ourselves; too bad we had to head back to reality (aka work....). The cottage was great. We were there to relax and fish. Bummed around town a few times. Thanks to Fritz providing some of the local coffee, we have another favorite brew!

We highly recommend staying here. Towels and sheets are excellent. Rooms are cheery, clean and comfortable. The owner is super friendly. Excellent value and a good experience. Great location, beautiful setting right on the river. Excellent coffee in the room.

Where do I begin? First, we stayed in Cottage #1 and it was exactly as advertised. Quiet, comfortable and all the amenities we wanted, like wi-fi, television, and a full kitchenette. Fritz was awesome and friendly. He showed us some newly bloomed Indian Pipe on the property and when I went to buy post cards from him, he didn't have one in the front office at that particular time, but came to our cabin with a post card with the Indian Pipe later on. Great customer outreach! Beautiful grounds. Our cottage was right on the river, and just so peaceful. We decided to stay an extra night because we loved the area so much, and we were lucky that our cottage was available.

We just love Edgewater and Fritz! The rooms are always so clean and tidy. You can see the immense pride Fritz has for his property. It's always so nice to chat with him during our stay, and to see the changes he's made on the property year after year. We love the local touches like the soap from Star Lake Soap Company and coffee from Eagle River Roasters. This local place sure beats the chain hotels in the area.
