Originally built as a Williamsburg replica in the mid-1990s, the construction and size of the rooms are quite nice. But... it's aged. New owners and management are working quickly to transform it into an upscale modern contemporary hotel (inside) but it will retain the Williamsburg look (matching the entire village due to lots of construction in the 80s and 90s... We have enjoyed this hotel so much the past 4 years and now we were sooooo disappointed !! We do not like the new look. Completely takes away from the elegant feel it used to have. It feels like the whole place got dummy downed. The front desk staff used to be dressed in suits , so professional and knowledgable... More

My husband and I have traveled world wide. Paris France, Istanbul Turkey, Croatia, Asia, Germany, Milan Italy, Jerusalem, just to name a few and stay only at the best hotels available. Our stay at The Delafield Hotel by far exceeded every expectation and more. The Delafield Hotel was the Best hotel we have ever stayed in!

Stayed this past July based on TripAdvisor reviews, was sorely disappointed. First off, we had to go down twice to get lightbulbs to replace burnt out ones in our room. Secondly, the walls were gouged, the vent fan in bathroom filthy, and inoperable, and the carpet needed a vacuuming, and the curtains needed replacing. The worst thing though was the... More

Everything about this hotel is great. The staff is friendly, rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Concierge service is first rate. I had them order flowers for Valentine's Day. The flowers were beautiful. The bathrooms are first rate with rainfall showers. I will definetly stay here again.

This was our second visit to the Delafield Inn. Our first visit was amazing. Very disappointed on the second visit. Three reasons. 1. Restaurant and Bar-Closed due to remodeling. The hotel should have let us know a head of time. We paid for a full service hotel and we did not get it. 2. Hotel Remodeling -The main reason we... More

I bought the romance package for my daughter and her new husband to use as a "honeymoon" getaway. They had such wonderful things to tell me about their stay. The service was excellent, and they said dinner, as well as breakfast in bed, was exceptional. This is very high praise considering that my new son-in-law is an executive chef! The... More

We chose this hotel for a short getaway based on the lovely photos on the website. But what a disappointment it turned out to be. The website failed to mention that the restaurant and lobby are currently being completely renovated and from what we hear the "look" will be entirely different - all trendy and upscale and lacking in the... We had a corporate event in the Delafield area and used this hotel for out of town guests. When we went to look at the hotel I was surprised by the rundown appearance of the upholstered furniture, certainly they have a period piece look, but don't need to actually be from 1776. See pictures of sagging sofa, when we left... More
