Wow…I love this place! It’s the perfect peaceful setting on Lake Superior. There was just something so renewing about sitting on their lake view adirondack chairs in the morning taking in the quiet sounds of nature. We stayed in Room #1 and it was very clean, spacious and comfortable. There is no AC but that was not an issue for us with a ceiling fan and an additional fan. We appreciated the Sleep Number bed after busy days hiking and walking around Bayfield. There is no cable, but there is a nice DVD selection if you want to wind down and watch a movie like we did. The breakfasts (served in your room) are delicious! And while the setting and accommodations are amazing, they don’t compare to the hospitality from the owners. Sandy is so caring and accommodating, truly one of the best people I’ve met. Treat yourself and stay here, it is a special place!…
This property is stunning. We watched eagles fly outside our room, saw four ruffed grouse, took in beautiful sunsets, and enjoyed the amazing views of the lake. The property was sparkling clean and the breakfasts were outstanding. My husband works with vulnerable populations, so outside our home and in enclosed spaces with others, we wear masks 100% of the time. The host greeted us and briefed us on the property maskless. Other guests also did not seem to wear masks outside of their rooms in shared spaces. This was disappointing. I'm putting this out there so other people who do as much research on trip advisor as I do have the information they need to make a decision consistent with their comfort level.
Absolutely amazing B&B on quiet Siskiwit Bay! The lodge is beautiful, as are the well kept grounds and views of the bay, along with amazing sunsets. Bruce and Sandy are wonderful hosts and are eager to share with everyone God brings through their front door. The breakfasts are wonderful and delivered right to your room (due to COVID). There are adirondack chairs around the property for watching the boats, reading a book, taking a nap, whatever!! The only downfall is the lack of restaurants in the area. If you are staying any length of time, traveling 1/2 hour to Bayfield becomes a necessity for meals other than breakfast that is included.
Peaceful respite on the rock strewn shore of Lake Superior in Cornucopia. The South Shore of Lake Superior is one of our favorite areas in Wisconsin. Hosts Sandy & Bruce have captured the romantic lake experience of the South Shore/ Spirit Point and the eclectic community of Cornucopia with their presentation of both a "bed" and a breakfast. Comfortable beds and deliciously prepared breakfasts by your hosts will enhance your visit. Whether you are sitting on your private deck, in the great room, or lawn adorned adirondack chairs - the ever changing "lakescapes" will invigorate your day dreaming and you'll be booking a future stay for every season. Conveniently located 15-20 minutes from Bayfield, the gateway to the Apostle Islands Lakeshore National Park, you'll find Siskiwit Bay Lodge down the rustic roads of Spirit Point and Jack Pine (not the tree, read the story in "Resorts of Wisconsin") - quietly tucked in the breezy Wisconsin woods. Enjoy Wisconsin, Cornucopia, Siskiwit Bay Lodge - I know you'll love your visit, we did.…
This was our 3rd annual 4-day stay at the Siskiwit Bay Lodge B&B. As always, Bruce and Sandy are amazing hosts and the breakfasts are always awesome. The past 2 years we've stayed in the suite with a fully outfitted kitchen, living room and bedroom. Wonderful whirlpool at the corner of the room with windows overlooking the woods and Siskiwit Bay. Immaculate and nicley appointed rooms. Haven't used the a/c due to the lovely breezes from the bay. Able to watch the local eagles in the trees or soaring along the property's coast line. Peaceful property/grounds and outstanding sunsets. Tonight will be a camp fire.
Sandy and Bruce are such a delight to visit with. When we first entered the lodge it took our breath away, Several private and group sitting areas near the shore, great staircase going almost to the water with a bench is perfect for watching the lake and the spectacular sunsets. The suite is very nice and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to fix meals. We really never had to leave the property to have a wonderful relaxing getaway.
My husband and I just spent the last two days at this wonderful B & B. The owner Sandy and Bruce are wonderful. Their place is so beautiful..the rooms, the views and the awesome Breakfast each morning. It is so peaceful. Loved having coffe on the deck in early morning, watching the boats leave to go fishing in the early morning. The sunsets magnificent! If you want a get away from the busy world, this is the place. I was sad to leave. By the way the bed was so comfortable. A wonderful get away!!
My husband is always in search of an old-fashioned type of lodge on a lake for our trips. The Siskiwit Bay Lodge exceeded his expectations on all accounts. Bruce and Sandy have lovingly restored this beautiful building and its grounds. Right on Lake Superior, every room has amazing views. The breakfasts were not as substantial as some of the B&Bs that we've stayed at, but they were more than adequate and very delicious. It is very secluded and quiet, perfect for a romantic getaway. We went to Bayfield (about a 25 minute drive) for dinners as only one restaurant was open in Cornucopia during our stay.
This was our first experience with a B&B and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful two day stay for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the suite and it is even more beautiful than the pictures show. There isn't air conditioning, but you really don't need it. Being right on the lake and ceiling fans are enough to keep you cool. The lodge is very secluded and quiet, but still close enough to drive into Bayfield for restaurants, shopping, and other activities (about a 25 minute drive). The Meyers Beach sea caves are very close to the lodge as well. We could have had breakfast in the suite, but we opted to sit with all the other guests in the great room each morning. It is evident that Bruce and Sandy love what they do. They are such wonderful, kind people. Breakfast was exceptional, unique and beautifully presented. Don't expect a typical hotel continental breakfast. The best part is they sit and visit and talk with you during and after breakfast. Sandy gave us a map of all the trails in the area and made suggestions on which ones were the best. They also made a few suggestions on restaurants in the area that were their favorites. We had a great experience and have decided that we want to come back every year to celebrate our anniversary. …
We enjoyed our 2nd visit (1st was Jul '16) even more than the first. Bruce and Sandy provide exceptionally delicious and presented breakfasts each morning and are amazing hosts. We booked the suite this time - for 4 days, and took advantage of the 50% off an extra night. Having the suite allowed us to prepare dinners and make sandwiches whenever we chose to stay close to Cornucopia. The suite has a living room and a kitchen, very convenient as the main restaurant in the small town of Cornucopia is no longer open. No a/c but with the wonderful breezes, windows and ceiling fans, we didn't miss it. We were able to view gorgeous sunsets and an unusual wind front/rain line. We're already thinking of our '18 visit.
