Large KOA, with usual kid stuff. Had a "deluxe cabin" complete with GIANT spiders, cobwebs and no TV or WiFi. You can rent DVDs at store for a "donation". Fire pit about 2 1/2 feet tall so cannot see fire unless you stand over it. Coffee pot replacing broken one came with moldy old coffee and filter intact. Concert on Saturday night. Store closes before posted times daily so prepare your day early.
This KOA would be a good destination for a family with small children looking for activities, fun pool areas. It is not a good location for a couples visit to Door County (very far from actual Door County attractions, restaurants and shops). The first site they assigned us to was a mounded uneven impossible to get the camper into site, they were able to move us to a different site but it did not have a fire pit ( having a fire is a main camping activity!) and they were unable to provide a solution. There was a band on Saturday night, the site we had was right across from where the band played so it was extremely loud until well after 11:00pm. The band could be a nice option but should definitely be disclosed when making a reservation, we were looking for a more quiet camping experience. Overall a very disappointing camping experience and we would not return.…
Wooded sites above 120 are way too tight. Bathrooms were filthy. Golf carts everywhere. Way too expensive for no sewer and only 20 sewer sites out of 200! No Wi-Fi boosters anywhere as only coverage was in office.
The most run down, non maintained and poorly managed campground I have been to in a long time. The website is false advertising. Nothing looks as good as the pictures. -Bathrooms - Urinal knocked out of main entrance bathroom, tile falling apart, wet and dirty in all bathrooms! -Kids playground next to the dog park - Looks like it should be condemned , is falling apart and somebody knock down the weeds and replace the playground chips. - Weeds and dust everywhere - Pools - Cold, unheated and the slide was not working again which is a regular occurrence I'm finding out from other reviews. -Wood - $9/bundle on site.....bring your own wood or be prepared to pay.
The good: Our family of four stayed two nights at this KOA. The campsites themselves were nice and kept up well. They had a huge pool with slides and splash pads. The bad: the slides schedule was not posted and usually closed. Many of the amenities were closed or the staff closed early without communicating.
