This was our third visit to Hotel Condor; it was once again brilliant for families (older families in our case). The food is absolutely excellent with a slant towards local wines (high quality and good value) and Dolomite cuisine. Carnival night was a Gala dinner with fancy dress and everyone joined in. The children really enjoyed the swimming pool that is a good size but not too deep. The hotel is located <5 minutes walk from the Miara ski lift. There are plenty of seating areas after dinner to continue a quiet discussion or a card game. The Kronplatz ski area has plenty of intermediate/beginner skiing. It feels very safe to allow older children to ski independently and the prices are generally below the French and Swiss ski resorts. Nightlife is suited to families, no Folie Douce places on the mountain but some lovely mountain restaurants and terraces. The Dolomites is a very beautiful ski area. We highly recommend. Nigel and Barbara

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay in the Italian Dolomites. Located in the pretty village of San Vigilio with easy access to the Kronplatz ski area, and further afield the Sella Ronda. The main ski lifts are just a five minute walk from the hotel, and all ski equipment can be left at the lift station. A really family friendly ski area with excellent mountain restaurants. Rooms are simply furnished and spotlessly clean. Maggie and her team work tirelessly to provide exceptional service. Food is fantastic, with a three/four course meal every evening. The hotel has a bar for pre-dinner drinks and a lounge area for sitting after dinner. The hotel contains a pool and sauna area.

Great position, near the ski slopes, cosy rooms and atmosphere. Not far from the village centre. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. The food is exceptional, local and in abundance. They have a swimming pool my 8 year doughter enjoyed, I myself personally missed the outdoor jacuzzi pool, although they have 2 jacuzzi tubs indoors, but I didn’t like their setting.

Second visit with a group of skiers in January. The Condor is a great hotel; comfy rooms in all categories, spa/pool, brilliant food (the pudding buffet one night was extraordinary). Mainly, however, I want to praise all the staff from the owners right through. An excellent team to help make a stay enjoyable. We had a competition one night in the shooting gallery (air rifles) which was fun. Well worth a few Euros for this. A short walk to the Miara lift, helped by using the lockers in the lift station, so The Condor is very convenient for skiing. Kronplatz/Plan de Corones is relatively small as ski areas go but plenty for a week and you can get a bus to more of the Dolomites if you fancy an excursion.

I can't talk up our experience high enough, the location, the room, everyone associated with the hotel made this a fantastic four days. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Also must mention the food, the meals were exquisite with a highlight of experiencing very fresh porcini mushrooms - delicious. A very big thank you to the Leimeggar family and team
