Quaint little motel and very clean. Staff are very nice! I like the closeness to everything in Birchwood! I use it for when my son is at camp and they are always very accommodating with my late check-in!
We spent two nights over the 4th of July. The place is not fancy bit clean and comfortable. The large bathroom area is so nice. The beds are a little firm but still nice. We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is an easy walk to multiple places like bars, restaurants, gas, and ice cream.
My wife and I were hoping for clean and found it to be extremely well kept. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly as well. Located in a great location to visit the local bars and restaurants. We would stay again.
This Motel is quaint and clean. The problem is the light wood construction. We were on the second floor near the wooden stairs. We used a sound machine and still heard guests coming and going all night. ALL night. ATV folks coming in late and having a hard time navigating the steps, finding the RIGHT door and fishermen leaving early and smokers on the balcony. While the rude guests would not merit a bad rating the building did. At check out I explained it was not a place for sleep. The clerk explained they were full, maybe if we stopped back in she could give us a quiet room. We likely will not risk it. Not cheap for Northern Wisconsin - $80.00 per night.
Great place to stay - very clean and tidy and staff is very friendly. There's lots of tourist information in the office if you need that. Convenience stores and good restaurant nearby. Rooms do not have coffeemakers, but they do serve morning coffee in the office. Good prices during the week, but a bit pricier on the weekend and they sometimes require a two-night stay on the weekend. It can be a busy place on the weekend with all the ATV business (must be great trails!). One thing I didn't like was that even though the rooms are non-smoking, there are ashtrays outside each room, so you could have someone smoking (and talking) right outside your door/window. They do have free Wi-Fi.
In town for graduation. Not a bunch of choices in Birchwood for a reasonable price. We stayed here for 3 nights. All rooms have doors to outside. Not fancy, but has the necessities. Beds are hard, TV's are small but plenty of channels. Decor is basic but nice. Rooms are clean. Towels are small and cheap. Doors have actual keys to lock but no backup deadbolts or security locks. If you are not use to hotels with regular locks, it is easy to forget that you have to manually lock your door (like in a home). This hotel is popular with ATV enthusiasts as there is a trail right in front of hotel. If you don't want to pay 2x to 3x for a cabin somewhere, this is a good choice.
Very disappointed. Motel was clean but lacked amenities. I was charged $79 for a Friday night stay. They advertised $60 for double occupancy. Was told weekend rates were $10 higher ?? Will not recommend this motel.
Very clean and has everything I needed for a stay over. Perfect for someone wanting to go hunting, fishing, swimming, four-wheeling and snow mobile riding. Trails and lake is directly across the street. Good food walking distance from the motel.
I checked into this little place after a disappointing reservation at a local B&B. It was pet friendly, had a super comfy bed, and was spotless. You can park right at the door and the bath was large and open. Even better, it was half the price of the B&B for my own room, bathroom and all the privacy I wanted. The Wi-Fi was free and easily accessed and there were about 75 cable channels plus music channels. My room had a double bed and bunk beds which would be great for families. The only bad thing was an upstairs neighbor who had lead feet. I turned on my white noise machine and took care of that. I would stay here again for a quick get-away for a reasonably priced option in a very busy resort area.
We had a great time! Rooms are great, clean, easy to get to. We had a party of 16, 4-wheelering group. They accommodated above and beyond. Had a bomb fire waiting for us when we got in that night. The 4 wheeling trails are awesome! We had everything we needed in walking distance.
