Spent two nights in June at Birchwood motel. Everything in room was really clean; no bad smells; cold A/C; comfy beds. No complaints at all and would stay there again. It was nice. Nice area and not a big town and a lake across the road.
Needed a one-night stay before picking up boys at Scout Camp nearby. Office keep fairly short hours, we weren't arriving until evening and they called enroute with instructions to basically let ourselves in. (Would've been nice if they'd left the wireless password for us as well, though--and with office closed had no one to ask.) Staff friendly on phone and next AM at checkout. Room was spacious, reasonably clean, quiet--well, the whole town is quiet! Appear to be several taverns nearby, but we didn't explore. Well-stocked convenience store and cafe close by for breakfast.
Had plenty of room for my wheelchair. Very comfortable beds and large bathroom. New owner/management was very polite, understanding and helpful. Just call in advance to warm up room before you get there if cold weather. Plenty of surrounding restaurants, taverns, and sites to see.
The Motel is very clean, well kept, and comfortable. This is a great place to stay for any northwoods WI activities. It's kind of quiet and rustic without being too "back woods". The WIFI and the flat screen TV made for all the comforts of home. It's super convenient to the Tuscobia State ATV trail and lots of different eating locations in and around Birchwood, WI. You can get to any of the local businesses and eateries on your ATV so I never had to unhook the trailer the whole weekend, we went everywhere we wanted to go in our UTV.
We spent three nights at the motel. Very clean and very nice people running it. The trail system is right outside the door. Easy access for gas station, food etc...would recommend for large groups. Not all rooms have microwaves and mini frigerators.
Quaint little motel and very clean. Staff are very nice! I like the closeness to everything in Birchwood! I use it for when my son is at camp and they are always very accommodating with my late check-in!
We spent two nights over the 4th of July. The place is not fancy bit clean and comfortable. The large bathroom area is so nice. The beds are a little firm but still nice. We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is an easy walk to multiple places like bars, restaurants, gas, and ice cream.
My wife and I were hoping for clean and found it to be extremely well kept. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly as well. Located in a great location to visit the local bars and restaurants. We would stay again.
This Motel is quaint and clean. The problem is the light wood construction. We were on the second floor near the wooden stairs. We used a sound machine and still heard guests coming and going all night. ALL night. ATV folks coming in late and having a hard time navigating the steps, finding the RIGHT door and fishermen leaving early and smokers on the balcony. While the rude guests would not merit a bad rating the building did. At check out I explained it was not a place for sleep. The clerk explained they were full, maybe if we stopped back in she could give us a quiet room. We likely will not risk it. Not cheap for Northern Wisconsin - $80.00 per night.
Great place to stay - very clean and tidy and staff is very friendly. There's lots of tourist information in the office if you need that. Convenience stores and good restaurant nearby. Rooms do not have coffeemakers, but they do serve morning coffee in the office. Good prices during the week, but a bit pricier on the weekend and they sometimes require a two-night stay on the weekend. It can be a busy place on the weekend with all the ATV business (must be great trails!). One thing I didn't like was that even though the rooms are non-smoking, there are ashtrays outside each room, so you could have someone smoking (and talking) right outside your door/window. They do have free Wi-Fi.
