We enjoyed our three-night stay at the Nordic Pines Cabins as a family with a toddler and a dog. No Wi-Fi or television at these cabins, but ours had a full size refrigerator, stove and oven combo, box fans and plenty of windows, fire ring and picnic table, and reasonably comfortable beds. Grills were available for rent also. Nordic Pines... More

Right across the street from Devil's Lake State Park, I was able to wake up and be the first person in the park to hike and enjoy the wildlife before the tourists flooded the park. My husband and I took our two kids, age 10 and 4. We used the cabin as a home base to go up into the... More

Really well stocked cabin with s comfortable bed, nice clean sheets and ample kitchen utensils. The shower was sufficient but you need your own towels. They provide a good fan and such a beautiful setting. Though I'd avoid a holiday weekend if I went again. Great value for the money. But reserve well in advance!

My wife and I stayed here during Memorial Day weekend in 2015 and really enjoyed it. The cabins are quaint but offer a small kitchenette, a bed, a screened porch, an open porch and bathroom. The only downside is that there is no drinking on the grounds. There is a very simple solution to this, bring your dog and your... More

Overall Nordic Pines is simply a shelter/place to rest while visiting Devil's Lake State Park. Don't expect luxury travel here. We choose Nordic Pines, because you can literally leave your car park at the cabin and walk right over to Devil's Lake. Overall, the service was good. They were very up front with their cabins, older, no tv, no heat... More

We camped at Nordic Pines campground on a Saturday night in late June, and maybe a quarter of the sites were occupied. So our stay was nice and quiet because people were spread out. But we did talk to another camper who said they were kept awake until after 1:30am by loud talkers near their campsite, two nights in a... More

Not mowed, stinking pit toilets, little road maintenance. This is no place to spend precious free time. We are not fussy people and my husband is a year-round no-amenities camper, but we would have left had we not been there with other people.

We stayed here on a Saturday night and had a great experience. The website and staff were very upfront and honest the whole time. Check in was a breeze. Campground was very nice, with quite a bit of shade. Flush toilets in the bathrooms were nice. We do a lot of camping and are use to anything and everything! They... More

We chose this campground because of it's close proximity to Devil's Lake State Park, and because we could not get a campsite at Devil's Lake (our first choice). Unfortunately we were not fans of the campground at all. It was very expensive in comparison; the price of the site includes 2 adults and 2 children. It was an extra $10... More

If the idea of staying at an alcohol free campground turns you off, go somewhere else. If you aren't a fan of old cabins and all of their smells and creaks, this is probably not the place for you. I would like to address a handful of the 1-star ratings for Nordic Pines. First, if you are bringing a baby... More
