We spent 3 nights here and were overjoyed with our decision to stay on "The Quiet Side" after years of staying in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, and Ephraim. We stayed in Room 13 and had a wonderful king-size bed. The room was beautifully decorated and we really appreciated all the space for toiletries etc in the bathroom. I was initially disappointed that there wouldn't be a communal breakfast like most B&Bs offer, but soon saw the advantage of having a delicious breakfast delivered to our room. (If you have the option, the chocolate croissant and breakfast croissants are truly wonderful!) Being able to sit on the balcony outside our room and watch and hear the diversity of birds nearby was extraordinary and made the one rainy day we had enjoyable. Many good restaurants in Door County are within an easy drive, but I'd highly recommend Chives, which is in Baileys Harbor and a short walk away. And while the state parks are all very nice, definitely walk over to The Ridges Sanctuary which features a wooden walkway so you can travel through the marshes without disturbing the natural beauty of the area. One of the walkways leads you to a small pond full of bullfrogs which were full-throated and visible in and on the water lilies nearby.…
This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Check in was easy, the room was very inviting. A delicious breakfast was brought to our room at our requested time. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying coffee was the perfect way to start every morning. I highly recommend staying in Bailey's Harbor. The Inn is an easy walk to many good restaurants and a short drive to the other towns. The no choldren policy is quite the added bonus.
Our 2nd time staying at this beautiful inn. Room was perfect and staff very friendly. Covid changed their breakfast - they place a menu on your door and you add your choices and delivery time for the next morning to your door. Breakfast was amazingly tasty and hot, we loved the variety of choices. The fresh baked mocho chocolate chip pecan muffins were amazing. Individually wrapped cookies and bags of popcorn and juices/milk always available in lobby, as are DVDs. Perfect place to stay for a weekend.
We were only able to stay here one night as the inn was fully booked the remainder of our planned days in Door County; my husband said he wished we could have stayed here the whole time. We stayed in Room 6 (3rd Floor Zahn House) and although I was nervous about the sloped ceilings, it was actually quite spacious and comfortable. Very charmingly decorated. We caught most of the sunrise over the harbor and wished it had been warm enough to sit out on the attached deck during our stay. Due to COVID, the inn provided a breakfast menu that we were to mark with our selections and desired timing and hang on our door at night, and in the morning our meal was set outside our door. It was not a gourmet B&B breakfast but it was a sufficient and tasty meal to start our day. The inn also offers complimentary cookies and popcorn in the lobby. We enjoyed the jetted tub and fireplace and would stay here again.…
We spent three nights here to explore Door County. Brian, the owner is very accommodating and attentive to the needs of his quests. The facility is an older three floor structure-at least the building we stayed in-and has been nicely maintained and decorated. You feel like you're in a New England B&B. We were concerned about noise from guests above us, but heard little. The reason may be that he restricts children and we approve of that. Most of the guests appeared to be middle to older couples. The rooms are nicely decorated and exude charm. We had a good second story balcony which provided a beautiful view of the bay.
The location is perfect for exploring Door County. The grounds are very well kept and pretty. The room itself was very nice ...beautiful primitive decor and a large spacious bathroom. Unfortunately the mattress was so crazy firm & hard that it left us both in a lot of pain. Also the breakfast is not anything special at all if that matters to you. It is a "Grab and Go" style breakfast/not homemade and over 3 days the same exact breakfast choices were offered each day ...reheated frozen foods, lenders bagels, some fruit. Coffee, tea and cold drinks available all day and there was popcorn & a cookie in the afternoon. Also wanted to mention that the mini fridge in our room froze everything we had even after turning it down.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room and bed were quite comfortable, and the grab-and-go breakfasts were delicious. Juices, seltzer, cider, cookies & pop corn were always available in the lobby. We loved sitting on our personal patio overlooking the water's edge, and taking advantage of the main patio to visit with friends. The innkeeper was friendly but also COVID careful. We will definitely return.
We just returned home from a 3 night stay at The Inn. We had cancelled a previous reservation during the pandemic prior to vaccines. We were very impressed with the “Covid Pivot” implemented. All of the adjustments to a typical experience at the Inn were well thought out and made us feel absolutely safe. None of the adjustments diminished a “typical” stay at all. All the things we love about The Inn were front and center: a peaceful spot, magnificent sunrises, delicious breakfasts, the pampered extras and a very accommodating staff. It’s the reason we keep coming back. So, bravo and thank you! We look forward to another stay at our “happy place”. Most sincerely, Sarah Dill Sent from my iPhone
What an amazing property! The Inn harkens back to colonial times with its decor and antiques while not skimping on comfort and modern conveniences. We stayed in room 2 which was spacious and lovely. The Inn was the most Covid friendly of any we stayed at on this trip with a la cart breakfast delivered to the room every morning, (would highly recommended the stuffed egg croissant), and a contactless system for obtaining fresh towels and whatever else was needed. Fresh baked cookies, popcorn, and beverages were always at the ready; the views of the harbor were incredible; and the inn is within walking distance of a number of great restaurants. Can't wait to go back!
What wonderful hospitality! The many thoughtful touches, like towels, and hose to wash feet, the well maintained bicycles, beach chairs, kayaks and paddle-boards, the teas, coffees, cookies and beverages and popcorn, along with the delicious breakfast menu, all are delightful and so very much appreciated. The rooms are very comfortable and thoughtfully maintained and furnished. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon. From Romantic Couple. Green Bay
