Thanksgiving week 2022, was our first visit to the Rushes, but it will not be our last. Ours was a two bedroom/2 bath unit on the woodland side. We were greeted soon after check-in by visiting deer, passing through just beyond our back deck as snow began to fall and accumulate. It was a winter wonderland. Everyone of the staff members we encountered made us feel at home. I especially enjoyed the roaring fire built, not once but twice as I sat in the recreation center to knit, enjoy the atmosphere, and meet other guests. Our unit had everything needed from the kitchen to the full size laundry, and all the wood and kindling to have our own, cozy fire nightly. There were ample activities, including indoor swimming in a heated pool, a well coordinated crafting room, guided hikes, and more. Whether you travel solo, as a couple, or as a family with children of all ages, the Rushes is an ideal place for memory-making.…
We've been coming to the Rushes since 1990 and have owned since 2000. Every year, it only gets better. The staff is A+ and always very accommodating and helpful. Ray is a gem! John at the front desk is our go-to guy. (It's great that there is no hard-sell sales pitch when you walk in - like so many other timeshare resorts.) Everything you need for a relaxing, memory-making and enjoyable stay is there. The twin grandkids have grown up at the Rushes. Every time we pull into the property, they say "we're home now!".
The Rushes is always quiet and comfortable. We enjoy having wood fires in the fireplace, watching the wildlife ( saw otters playing in the lake on this visit) and using the pool and hot tub. We've never been disappointed here
Wonderful resort, great location to explore Door County. We enjoyed all the resort had to offer from the amenities to location and beautiful property to relax at. Each unit offers complete privacy and a great view of Kangaroo lake.
Unit 2301 was recently renovated, and the improvements are wonderful! It easily accommodated six adults. The staff was very welcoming, and the check-in process was effortless. The Rushes is located perfectly for exploring Door County, Wisconsin. We would come back again.
It was overall fairly clean. Very disappointed that the pool was only open until 8 p.m. Water-based equipment available was a bit misleading and hours were quite limited. We had to have our water-based items returned by late afternoon even though there was a lot of daylight left. Some desk staff were quite exceptional in their customer service. Others didn't seem to have their heart in customer service and weren't able to clearly articulate available amenities/policies. Would NOT stay here again for the price we were charged.
We have been enjoying The Rushes for a number of years now and try to book in at least twice a year during winter or early spring. The units are comfortable, resort is quiet and staff extremely helpful and friendly. We generally have friends join us for part of the week and enjoy visiting restaurants in the Door, especially Al Johnsons and The White Gull Inn. We have never been disappointed with our visit to The Rushes.
For starters, our king size bed was extremely comfortable having what seemed to be (but probably wasn't) a brand new mattress. Service was fantastic, and the Rushes offered lots of complimentary items I'd never seen offered elsewhere. All accomodations were clean and comfortable. We're hoping we can get back there next year. We were both greatly impressed!
The resort is quiet. has lots of green space for play area, especially if traveling with children. Beach area sandy and shallow near the beach. Lots of "water toys" to use. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
As owners of this timeshare resort, it has never disappointed us in the last 35 years! Always very clean. Wonderful amenities included. Thank you for keeping it top rate! We are looking forward to our next visit in July with family. There is so much to do and enjoy at the resort, there'd be no need to venture out, if it wasn't for all the wonderful food and shopping nearby!
