#1 of 7 hotels in Baileys Harbor
Our Door County waterfront resort is open year round. You can explore its natural beauty in every season: spring when the woods come alive with flowers, summer with its sunny days at the beach, fall with its festivals and trees dressed in a rainbow of colors, and winter with its quiet beauty of glittering snow on groomed trails. Afterwards, relax in one of our comfortable one and two bedroom suites, or staterooms; most with scenic views of the tranquil harbor or Toft’s Point Nature Preserve just across the road. Baileys Harbor Yacht Club Resort is open year round to provide our guests with premier accommodations during Door County’s four seasons of fun and relaxation.

We decided to stay on the “quiet” side of Door County due to the COVID concerns. Related to staying safe: Masks are required in public areas, if you want your room serviced you need to contact the desk otherwise you make up your bed & get towels & upon departure you strip the beds, put towels in wash bag and take out your garbage & recycling—lots of self service required. There were outdoor grills & tables for eating. Our unit was in the main building-king suite-with microwave, refrigerator, kitchen area, table & sofa. The bed was comfortable, but otherwise the unit was in need of update. The deck chairs by the beach provided wonderful sunset view, but mosquitos came out at dusk-bring your spray. A concern was that internet was slow or non-existent, and only occasionally had 1 bar for AT&T phones.

We stayed for four nights in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite. This unit was perfect and full of amenities. We enjoyed the full kitchen--fully stocked with everything needed for cooking and dining. The screened in porch was a wonderful addition to protect against the mosquitos (this unit is in a separate building in a wooded area--very buggy outside). The unit was beautifully decorated and the boardwalk entrance was gorgeous! The only cons of the room were that the air conditioning is only in the main living area and not in the bedrooms, and that the beds were too firm for my liking. The resort itself is in a perfect location off the main road of Baileys Harbor and right on the lake. We loved both pool areas! The water in the outdoor pool was so warm (yay!), but the water in the indoor pool was a little chilly. The resort is very clean and has taken many precautions to prevent COVID. I felt very safe and clean throughout the entire stay.

Great location close to everything- fishing, hiking nearby, beach, short driving distance to all north DC attractions. We stayed in a 2 bedroom loft- spacious layout. Only downside is that our room was outdated. Sofa was sticky, mattress on the king bed had a dip in it, carpet was dirty. A renovation/upgrade seems overdue. I will certainly revisit if this happens.

We loved our stay! It was our first time at a hotel since covid started and we felt safe and the room was clean. They took measures to keep everyone safe. Amazing view and sunset! Close to activities in Door County and a beach is down the street! Will be back for a visit.
