I didn't go in the house but on a road trip up from Georgia I thought I'd stop. Parking is across the street from the graveyard and you do have to cross a mildly busy road. There are stairs and then you come right up to the graves. It's a big hill you have to climb up to get to...

The new owners of The Hatfield McCoy House have no respect for their neighbors at all. This is a very close knit quite little street that we live on and it has been taken over by their guest of all ATV riders. When Wendy owned it she only rented to a few people at a time and she didn't allow...

Excellent place to stay. Comfortable rooms, just like staying with family. We are on geocaching vacation, perfet place for that advenrure. Wendy placed most of the caches in area. Serve yourself kitchen, continental breakfast items. Beautiful area, gardens are pretty.....am sure outstanding in summer.

I've visited the area three times -- staying once in Matewan, once in Williamson (in a hotel that is now closed), and now here at the Hatfield McCoy House. Of my three stays, this was far and away the best experience and it offered an exceptionally convenient location. While I never saw Wendy personally; my keys were waiting, my purchased...

A fairly large group of us, all geocachers, came up from Georgia to enjoy the caching and history available in the area. We stayed 6 days/5 nights and had a wonderful time. Wendy is so friendly and welcoming and the rooms were exactly what we needed in a central location. I look forward to my next stay here! If you...

Decided to get the entire geocaching Hatfield and McCoy experience by staying here for 4 days. LOVED IT!! Whether you are a geocacher coming here to do the Hatfield McCoy Geoart/Trails, or just visiting the area to learn about the Hatfield and McCoy's this is the place to stay! Rooms were decorated in old style country home charm but had...

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, so we were not sure what to expect. We were surprised by how much it felt like you were visiting family that you haven't seen in a while. Wendy was very helpful with anything that we needed. We had a great time and will definitely stay again when we...

This is my first review ever, but Wendy is certainly deserving of it! She's the owner. I was sent to WV on business and the only hotel in town was booked, leaving me with 'no other choices' but to try this B&B. I have never stayed at one, so this was my first experience. Let me say that the rooms...

This reminded me of staying at a friends house. It was so comfortable and the hosts were such great company... I'd recommend it to anyone without reservation ~ I really enjoyed being able to curl up under a beautiful, provided quilt on the upstairs balcony and watch the world go by!

We spent 31/2 days in Williamson exploring. There are beautiful hiking trails. Kayaking the Tug River is another great excursion and dont forget the ATVing the trail. We came for the geocaching and it did not disappoint. The Geotrail has 150 unique caches and the Pig Trial Geoart is a very easy PNG that leads you right to the New...
