The Greenbrier is a grand old hotel with beautiful, large sitting areas all around. You can't go too far without finding a place to sit and relax or read. The outside balconies are fabulous. The food, although pricy, is excellent. Service is wonderful. EVERY purchase has a Preservation Fund Trust fee. Coffee, your room, your dinner, you name it the... More

Stayed at the hotel during 4/14. Researched the hotel before hand, so we did know that there was an evening only dress code, and only for the casino and main dining room. During the day it was resort casual, as it was in the evening other than the casino after 7, and the main room. There were plenty of other... More

Stayed at the Greenbrier while attending a wedding there. Very large (if slightly gaudy) room, huge bathroom, very quiet and comfortable. The service was over-the - top excellent, with no request which was not addressed promptly and professionally. Restaurants are pretty pricey, especially with the resort charge, historic preservation fee, and taxes added to everything. But if you're looking for... More

Beautiful grand hotel. All facilities are well maintained and this is a huge property. The hotel room itself had the charm of a historic hotel with modern amenities that did not detract from that charm. Everyone we had contact with went out of their way to make us happy, from the check in to the dinning room staff, even the... More

We are so glad that you were able to join us at The Greenbrier and that you enjoyed your tour of The Bunker! The entire West Virginia Wing of the Main Hotel was originally added to the property in the 1950s to conceal the simultaneous construction beneath it of The Bunker, a top secret U.S. government fallout shelter that is... My husband and I honeymooned at the Greenbrier recently and had a wonderful time. Some of the best parts of our vacation included lounging at the infinity pool, playing golf, visiting the spa, and spending some time at the Gun Club. If you're going, ask for Homer. He's an excellent teacher for trap & skeet shooting. The staff was exceptional!... More

Having visited the Greenbrier in years past, I was pleasantly surprised by the noticeably friendliness of the staff. In years past the staff was, almost rude, but not on this trip. For me there were a few negative moments, one, when I went to the "tea", it really wasn't an authentic southern tea, it was a dessert snack with iced... More

We just visited the Greenbriar and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to upgrade to Jr Suite from deluxe room at no extra cost. Entire staff was helpful and friendly. We were disappointed with casino but highly recommend golf and shops. Self parking is a problem so use $20 valet. A great experience and we shall return.

What a great place to relax, play golf, go to the spa and the greatest restaurants. Also the best and most courteous service. A ridiculous historic preservation tax has been added. This tax is added on to everything room, food, golf , spa and even merchandise you purchase from the many nice stores. I would question returning again after my... More
