Our family (which is split between KY & VA) looked for a halfway meeting place for a get-together. Drapers at the Greenbrier was chosen & we all loved the food, the atmosphere & service given by our fantastic waiter. (Regretfully I did not get his name or I would certainly have included it here.) We had a range of guests...

We made a last minute decision to stay at the Greenbrier at the end of our cross country trip. My husband is a golfer and we were able to get a special rate on the golf that we couldn't pass up. Although we only stayed one night, he played two rounds of golf and we both enjoyed walking the grounds...

We are so glad that you were able to join us for a last minute trip to The Greenbrier and enjoyed your tour of The Bunker! The entire West Virginia Wing was originally added to the property in the 1950s to conceal the simultaneous construction beneath it of The Bunker, a top secret U.S. government fallout shelter that is now...

Never--except perhaps in Europe--have I seen anything to surpass the grandeur and "presence" of the Greenbrier. This is one of America's most discriminating destinations with grand architecture--almost monumental architecture--and park-like grounds, plus championship golf. Its clientele are from society's upper middle and upper classes. Those patrons demand and expect the very best that life can offer. The Greenbrier meets or...

We have travelled for the last six months seeing America. We have stayed at most of the top hotels. None, I repeat none, are of the caliber of this one. The grounds, lodge, and all other amenities and activities are sensational. However, you can get most of these and even more at other places. What you can't get is....wait for...

The beef was supposed to be prime meat, but we found our selection to be more on the choice side. Lots of fat and grisly. The side dishes were exceptional though.

The food was only mediocre in this restaurant. Desserts were quite large, one dessert was sufficient for four.

The Greenbriar is more than a resort , it is a part of American history and that history has been well preserved by their own outstanding resident historian Dr Robert Conte . What a beautiful, all encompassing resort, something for everyone. I had visited the Greenbrier in 1990 for a week of French cooking, and recalled the remarkable professionalism by each and everyone of the staff. I wasn't disappointed during this trip, the staff are very eager to please their guests. The Bunker hadn't been revealed until 1992, so it was a...
