Hotel Bauer is located in the beautiful mountain valley of river Bílá in the center of a popular ski resort, next to the central parking, lifts and ski pass selling points. Historical buiding from 1913 is beautifully renovated with nice restaurant and pub, historical art deco lobby and comfortable rooms. In summer hotel offers its own tennis court and a playground for kids.
Very nice hotel in beautiful place, newly renovated in 2013. Meal is not worth your money, restaurant is really under average. Bad waiters, bad chef... But it is only restaurant in Bílá and local fast foods are maybe even worst.

This is a family hotel in a very nice area of Beskydy mountains. They have a superbe adventurous park for kids, so you can just relax with your hubby in an indoor pool or in sauna and have your kids in that adventurous park with an instructor. Rooms are clean, bed comfortable, staff very friendly, trying to fulfill every wish of yours, great welless and perfect surrounding for trekking, cycling or skying in winter. And I forgot to say that all the meals I had in the restaurant were just super delicious!I If I am in the area I will just pass by for a lunch or dinner. I could 100% recommend this hotel.

I visited this hotel a second time. First time with a colleagues on business trip. This time I arrived with a family. Hotel is still nice and new. Some places are on corners already broken and same parts on the wall need a new painting. The food is very good and tasty. One problem is the meal for the kids and we really missed any vegetable on dinner and breakfast. The food is regional czech but we prefer more healthy food menu on the list. Hotel has perfect parking possibilities and new wellness part. Problem of the wellness are opening times and the location outside of the hotel. You need to cross the small street this is terrible you need a take with you all things and boots jackets etc. this means really big discomfort for us.

We didn't stay but we had an evening meal for 7 (4 adults, 3 children of varying ages). The service was reasonable and friendly with a bit of English spoken. The food was delicious, cheap (in relation to British prices) and we would go again.

Stare Hamry and Becva valley is very popular skiing area with a good access to local centre, the City of Ostrava. This hotel has a very nice restaurant with a affordable prices, one of the best in the area, therefore is often crowdy. On the other hand the service is rather slow and not very friendly. It is not worth a solo trip, but it is worth stopping when passing by.

Staff of restaurant was totaly without managing, everybody stayed behind the bar and did nothing. Food was normal. They opens at 9, lunch you can order from 11, bud we cannot because they didnt have it print. So we recieved the menues at 11.20.... Before meal i wanted to make reservation for my friend who will come here from UK and asked me to come there to pay for they stay... I could belive that thay dont have online system for this....

Well, several generations of course remembers old traditional hotel Pokrok, when travelling from Frydek Mistek south to have a pleasure in beautiful Beskydy mountains. I must confess I looked at the planned refurbishment to a modern wellness centre with a great deal of suspicion - I could imagine many ways how to destroy the hotel's charm and historical value. Yet, the project succeeded and we were absolutely suprised about architects' sensitive approach, perceiving the building atmosphere correctly. Of course, the new hotel changed a lot and aims to a little bit different clientele, but if you are looking for a 3* standard, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, brand new stylish furniture, smiling staff and suprisingly good food - go, despite the possible fact you are not fan of skiing (ski areal is just around the corner and is going to be definitely the main reason of visit) - the location of Hotel Bauer is excellent for much more different activities. For the main example: great wellness centre as a part of the hotel will be supposedly opened soon. Very well recommended!…
