The owners, Tim and Diana, are very nice. The house and furnishings are exquisite. But be forewarned. It is probably about to stop. Please stop by if you are wondering about West Virginia and a nice place to stay while exploring. Tim and Diana are thinking about moving out west to be near their children. My wife and I enjoyed their clean and nicely decorated place for guests. One thing my wife and I want to warn anyone about, though: The toilets are not secluded. In your own room, the toilet is part of the room. No wall between you and others. Just a screen. In both rooms. That is the only thing my wife didn't like about it. I had never experienced it, either. Understand? It is part of the way it is.

Diana and Tim were fabulous hosts, bedroom super equipped and Tim's breakfasts outrageously good. Thomas was an excellent base for Canaan and Timberline. With a great Brewery and the Purple live music venue what more do you need. We'll certainly be back.

I went to Davis, WV last Fall for a photography weekend. I stayed at this B&B because the hotel where the rest of the group stayed was booked. And I am so glad I did. If you are looking for a quite, secluded and beautiful place, this is it. I stayed in the blue room; super comfortable for one person, and perfect for two. The bed, bathroom and other home spaces were picturesque and clean. The owners are very hospitable. I needed to meet my group before 5am each morning, and they did not hesitate at leaving the coffee maker ready for me. I would come back around mid morning, and a delicious, customized breakfast was waiting for me. The entrance of the B&B (and the house) is through an alley on the back. What could be considered the front of the house faces the main road and across from it you can see and hear the Douglas Falls. The location is close to Davis and the Blackwater Falls. I am looking forward at spending another fall weekend in the area, and will be certain that I know of a wonderful place to stay.

I arrived to the sounds of live music as Diana was practicing with her music group. She stopped and showed me my room. She later provided advice on dinner options in Thomas and I had fantastic burger at the TipTop Coffee Shop/Bar. At the bar two of the musicians came in and I felt like I already had local connections. I stayed here for a road bike race and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub in the cool evening after the race. It was wonderfully quiet, although, coming from the city I mistook the sound of the river/waterfall for someone's A/C unit the first night. I enjoyed sitting on the porch after breakfast my second day. Breakfast was delicious and Diana was a welcoming, friendly, and helpful host. I look forward to future stays.

We spent two days at the B&B so we could go x-country skiing at White Grass on Saturday. The B&B has wonderful accommodations with delicious personalized breakfasts (we are vegetarians) included. Diana and Tim were great hosts and provided very helpful advice for our activities. With a waterfall across the street, we look forward to staying here again when weather is warmer so we can open windows and listen to the water and backyard birds. We definitely recommend this B&B to others exploring the area!

Diana and Tim, proprietors of Douglas Falls, know how to make their guests feel at home. The lovely bed and breakfast features two very private rooms with modern bathrooms en-suite, and delicious, diverse, healthy breakfasts to get your mornings started right. We enjoyed homemade baked oatmeal with fresh fruit, homemade granola, egg casserole with venison sausage and fresh bread with locally canned jam. Most ingredients are from local farms and smalltime growers. This is a great choice for any season - skiing in winter, hiking in spring, biking in summer and enjoying the leaves in fall. The town is small but lively, with a growing arts and coffee shop culture. Love the hot tub outside in the snow too!

This past weekend my husband and I ventured out to Thomas, WV for a mini honey moon (mini-moon). Douglas Falls B&B was a PERFECT location for this. We hiked, explored the local area and enjoyed local music. Douglas Falls was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The breakfast is AMAZING and the room was FANTASTIC. We were lucky enough to stay in the green room. It was clean, comfy and romantic. The HUGE bathtub was so relaxing after a long day of chilly hiking. Diana and Tim are wonderful!! Definitely would return

First time to Thomas West Virginia. Our daughter and son in law have been to Thomas and surrounding area annually since they moved to DC. We decided to spend the post Christmas holiday season experiencing this winter wonderland. Diana and Tim's B&B is warm, welcoming, unique, very clean and just simply wonderful. You can hear the waterfalls outside your bedroom windows. The trails to go see the waterfalls are right outside the front door. Definitely will do this again, maybe a spring or fall trip. Dogs are welcome. The views are amazing and if you are up for a good people, good food (Tim is an excellent cook) and a place to simply let all your stress go out the door, this is the place. Off the beaten path but so worth the trek, local sights to see or visit within walking or short drive from Douglas Falls B&B are Downtown Thomas Art galleries, shops and coffee cafe's, The Purple Fiddle - a music filled bar/gathering place that is a must to see, Canaan valley for skiers, snow tubing, ice skating, down hill skiing etc., White Grass café and ski hill has family friendly cabin style home cooked meals, ( Chip "the owner" is a hoot) and live entertainment (our entertainment for the evening meal was Diana from the very same 'Douglas Falls B&B') and so much more to mention but not enough space to list - what's not to love? This casual place charmed me with character you won't find anywhere else but here in the countryside mountains of West Virginia. Unique and wonderful experience! Definitely will spread the word to friends and family to consider this as a trip to add to their bucket list of places to see and enjoy. We did, and we look forward to another family trip to this secret gem. Thank you Diana and Tim for such a warm welcome.

We have stayed here 3-4 times in the past 2 years. Each time was an outstanding experience! Very clean and nice. The breakfast is outstanding. Fresh and different each time. If you like to fall asleep with the sound of a crashing waterfall, this is the place. Tim & Diane are very warm & friendly. We now consider them friends.

This is a great place to spend the night if you are in the Canaan Valley- Thomas-Davis area! The B&B is NOT Victorian (thank goodness!) but is very New-Age and contemporary. I find this atmosphere relaxing and one that meshes well with the beautiful sounds and views of nature. Outside our window was a huge pine tree with lots of bird action. The waterfalls on the river lulled us to sleep outside our window. A gourmet breakfast of healthy grains and fresh veggies and fruit was beyond belief. The owners- Diana and Tim - are so warm and hospitable! We immediately felt like good friends spending the night! Negatives - the drive back to the B&B is off-putting due to the burned-out houses along the way! (Not sure what happened there but don't want to speculate either!) Go visit this place soon - or whenever you need some peace and quiet and a nature "fix!"
