We arrived on a Tuesday and planned to stay through Sunday. Place is beautiful. We were at site 334, So much rain but our tents stayed dry which having them on an incline was helpful. Not complaining about Mother Nature. We packed up Thursday in the rain but not because of the rain. I understand camping in the wilderness you run the risk of bears and security told us there was a bear. We kept our food in the car and cleaned up well after eating. Sure enough, he came into our camp twice. The thing that was upsetting is there was a bear trap next site over but it wasn't even open. Got a bit too close for comfort so we left. Asked for a refund... nope. The other thing that was upsetting, they cleaned the showers/ bathroom which is great! However, they must not dilute the bleach. Hung a brand new purse and towel on the hook and they were ruined by the bleach. I told the manager, he said sorry. Didn't offer to make it right.

Long bumpy, unpaved road down to our site, so bumpy it shifted the Harley in the trailer. Site was so unlevel, we used all of our levelers. The roads in the campgrounds are unpaved and extremely, extremely dusty...noone observes the Speed limit and noone seems to care. Website says they have Wifi, and when you get the map when you check in, it indicates Wifi is only at the office/store or at the little restaurant, which, unless you have a golf cart, you have to walk a quarter mile up a hill to get to, which we did and when I asked what the password was I was told they don't have Wifi. even though it says they do on their website. We paid for 2 nights, only stayed one. They have a strict no refund policy so we didn't even try to get the other night's money back. The only good thing about this place was the cheap laundry. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Camped at site #258. Site is at the edge of the woods, roomy and clean. Deer come across our site every morning. We had enough room for our camper, truck and a boat. The store has great pizza! The store gets very busy!! Shower house in area 2 was not the cleanest I have ever been in but was no where near the worst either. Lots of hair laying in the shower drains.

First the good...Great Lake spot, wonderful staff. Because of the lake and beach area the kids had an absolute blast. The items below would make this place absolutely phenomenal if they made some adjustments. The not that good.... DUST, DUST and more DUST!!! The crush and run on every road within the campground creates the most concrete dust I have ever seen in one place while camping. This is due to the fact that nobody enforces the 5 miles an hour throughout the campground especially on golf carts. Even if there were some speed bumps placed throughout it would help a great deal. We will be forever cleaning stone dust out of our camper and vehicles and my Rv a/c is now in need of coil cleaning as my filter is caked with this dust. A fresh topping of regular stone or a water truck occasionally would eliminate some of this. Road conditions between the general store and camping areas were very poor as well but actually we are effective in keeping people slow enough. The bathrooms- At least in the area that we were camping the bathrooms were very run down and dated but pretty clean most of the time. The problem I have is the screens on the doors looked like they hadn’t been replaced in years and were all busted out. Two out of three faucets wouldn’t over the 4 days I was there. Just kind of makes you think that they don’t take pride in their own campground facilities. The general store and the buildings up top are very nice and I hope they have plans to update the same within the campground someday. The reservation process... After talking with another local I was told that basically unless you are able to camp out on the general store porch the night before they open reservation process for the following year you’ll never get a ”GREAT”spot. Seems a bit unfair for those that have to call in and take what’s left. Not that the other spots are horrible it’s just that it basically is the difference between having zero shade and getting completely dusted out while you are there.

I had reservations for June and I called 30 days in advance to cancel because of the current health crisis. And I lost $56. We would have kept our reservation but do not feel that it is safe to camp since we will need to use the public restroom. And most of the activities will be cancelled. I feel that the camp ground should have refunded me the full amount. I think it is terrible business to take customers money considering the circumstances. They did say that I would get a $36 credit. But seriously I do not want to give this campground any more of my money considering how I was treated.
