Detailed Reviews
Stayed in lake front cabin. Bed mattress "pads" worn out flat in center. Ants invaded the first night stay, For price should include at least local tv station for weather and current events information at least. Depending where you stay, "the campground is huge, you'll definitely need your golf cart or rent one. Especially if you want to visit the company store, ice cream and putt putt. The beach was soso and needed improvement in my opinion. When they say you have lakefront access from cabins down a hill about 50' keep in mind it's pretty steep and not maintained. If you have bad knees ankles or related, beware it puts a bind in them going up and down the hill.
The boat ramp is close to the camp grounds, but is not affiliated with each other other. It takes about 15 minutes from launch to get through no wake zones then to get to campground to areas where you can moor.
Very little cell service if that is important to you " verizon" is what we had
Good part was that you can moor your boat to a tree there and enjoy the lake. For which was our primary reason for visiting.
Will I visit again, sure I see no reason not to. Just room for improvement for those who like "Glamping".
It's a nice lake to visit.

Cons: If you’re looking for wall to wall campsites with little nature around you, this is your place. Felt more like a parking lot filled with people. WV offers some beautiful campgrounds with lots of nature separating your site from the next. This does not.
The road through the campground needs paved. It spews dust all over everything. Looks like a light fog as you drive through. It’s bumpy and uncomfortable to ride on.
The lingering smell of sewer engulfed our first evening.
The mattress in the cabin was a 6” foam brick. Make sure to bring a mattress pad if you want a decent night’s sleep.
Zero wifi and sketchy cell service.
Pros: If you need a place to camp because you want to be close to the lake, then this suffices. Definitely would not be my go to for a beautiful quiet setting.
Seems to be well maintained and clean. Store is cute. Didn’t see the pool this time. Staff is friendly. Campers seems family oriented and friendly. Cabins clean and up to date for a cabin.

This was our third stay at MLC. Our site was slightly sloped towards the woods, nothing leveling blocks can't fix. However, no level spot to put the picnic table that anyone could sit on comfortably. Lots of traffic past the site due to beach access road is nearby. Campground is clean. The traffic does set off a lot of dust from the road.

Long bumpy, unpaved road down to our site, so bumpy it shifted the Harley in the trailer. Site was so unlevel, we used all of our levelers. The roads in the campgrounds are unpaved and extremely, extremely dusty...noone observes the Speed limit and noone seems to care. Website says they have Wifi, and when you get the map when you check in, it indicates Wifi is only at the office/store or at the little restaurant, which, unless you have a golf cart, you have to walk a quarter mile up a hill to get to, which we did and when I asked what the password was I was told they don't have Wifi. even though it says they do on their website. We paid for 2 nights, only stayed one. They have a strict no refund policy so we didn't even try to get the other night's money back. The only good thing about this place was the cheap laundry. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Worst treatment by any owner. They refused to refund our money when we didn’t stay the remaining 5 days due to the sewage smell. It was so bad I had to hold my nose going into the restroom to use the facilities. We requested a different site and they said they didn’t have any so we found another campground. The owner refused to refund our money for the nights we didn’t stay!!!! Mean people. May you reap what you have sown!
Please learn from our misfortune. Loop 2 has the sewage filtration system by the bathroom.

We have been here several times and love the place. The mile long access road to the campground is PUNISHING. At 5 miles per hour out Class C sustained significant damage from this road, which took 3 days and a LOT of money to fix. Management could not care less. Just put crush and run stone down instead of the huge rocks they have used for years and the problem would be fixed. We will return, but ONLY after they fix that road. Too expensive otherwise.

I had reservations for June and I called 30 days in advance to cancel because of the current health crisis. And I lost $56. We would have kept our reservation but do not feel that it is safe to camp since we will need to use the public restroom. And most of the activities will be cancelled. I feel that the camp ground should have refunded me the full amount. I think it is terrible business to take customers money considering the circumstances. They did say that I would get a $36 credit. But seriously I do not want to give this campground any more of my money considering how I was treated.

This campground is divided into 4 sections Most all have water and electric, except primitive area has waster stations. There are a few full hookups. All sections have very nice playgrounds. All the bathhouses are VERY nice and always clean. They have a camp store with a Pizza restaurant and inground pool. There is an ice cream shop across the street and a put-put golf. They also have a private beach at the lake and a place to tie off your boat.

+1
This is a clean and inviting campground. Didn't have a chance to visit the cabins but sure will in the future. The putt-putt course was so inviting, the ice cream shop too cute, and as the sign stated, "Made You Lick, and it sure did! The general store has everything a camper would need. You can order a pizza, popcorn, iccee and other fun pick-up snacks! Very family oriented. Staff was hospitable, proud of their operation and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

I had to cancel in 5 months in advance (February). Per policy, you have to pay a $10 processing fee. HOWEVER, be aware you do not get the remainder of your deposit back on you credit card. They KEEP it as a voucher for you, whether or not you ever get to use it.
We probably will never be in the area again, and the owner was inflexible in refunding our remaining $30 dollars.
