This campground is divided into 4 sections Most all have water and electric, except primitive area has waster stations. There are a few full hookups. All sections have very nice playgrounds. All the bathhouses are VERY nice and always clean. They have a camp store with a Pizza restaurant and inground pool. There is an ice cream shop across the street and a put-put golf. They also have a private beach at the lake and a place to tie off your boat.
The Lakeside cabin photos and description are misleading. The Lakeside cabins are infact, lakeside, but not 50’ from the lake as advertised, more like 150’ down a treacherous hill. Cabins are small, calling it enough to fit 6 people is a stretch. Cabins were rustic at best. We were hit with an overwhelming smell of mildew and mold upon opening the door. The window AC has never seen a cleaning it’s it’s life. One ceiling fan didn’t even have all of its light bulbs in it, and all of the ceiling fan blades in every room were caked with dust. Every corner of the cabin had dust and dirt. It looks like the floors were just swept with a straw broom and had never seen a mop. The shower had spiders in it. The attached photos say it all. For a cabin that requires you to bring everything except cutlery, it was definitely not worth the money spent.. The lake was beautiful and the employees were very nice. Management however either needs to spend the money and update these cabins or call them like they are… dirty, and over priced.…
The only thing worse than the poorly maintained roads full of potholes, disgusting bathrooms, and rutted out campsites is the incompetent staff and terrible management. We made reservations for one of the few sites on the water almost a year ago. Another person with the same site number as us called to cancel their reservation for SEPTEMBER and somehow our JULY reservation was canceled. I can only assume whoever answers the phones doesn’t understand how a calendar works. Even though the mistake was 100% the fault of the campground they refused to give us our site we had reserved a year prior and only offered us a site in a totally separate area of the campground away from the other three families in our group. Reserve here at your own risk.
When we got to our camp spot there was someone already on it. I called the office and they told me that they could move me ( I had already reserved this spot) or I could wait and they would eventually get down to me to see what was going on. No discount for the mix up and instead of moving the other people, I had to move even though I had paid for that spot. The manager wouldn’t come and talk to me or even bring me paperwork for the new site. He acting like we were bothering him. The is the last time I will come here. Beware. They could do you like this too!
One of our favorite campgrounds…we haven’t been since 2019 (due Covid and etc) but we noticed bathrooms need help (locks on doors) and need some minor renovations, and yes they have a problem with water temps..and attention needed on the roads… very rough!!!! but over all an awesome place… I do recommend a golf cart to see everything!
Overall has everything. But very close spots. Need a car or golf cart to get around the grounds. Dirty showers with very cold water. NO hot water. Lots of ticks, got on everything. Did I tell you NO Hot water!!!!!!, not good when you have children.
This is a clean and inviting campground. Didn't have a chance to visit the cabins but sure will in the future. The putt-putt course was so inviting, the ice cream shop too cute, and as the sign stated, "Made You Lick, and it sure did! The general store has everything a camper would need. You can order a pizza, popcorn, iccee and other fun pick-up snacks! Very family oriented. Staff was hospitable, proud of their operation and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
I had to cancel in 5 months in advance (February). Per policy, you have to pay a $10 processing fee. HOWEVER, be aware you do not get the remainder of your deposit back on you credit card. They KEEP it as a voucher for you, whether or not you ever get to use it. We probably will never be in the area again, and the owner was inflexible in refunding our remaining $30 dollars.
Worst treatment by any owner. They refused to refund our money when we didn’t stay the remaining 5 days due to the sewage smell. It was so bad I had to hold my nose going into the restroom to use the facilities. We requested a different site and they said they didn’t have any so we found another campground. The owner refused to refund our money for the nights we didn’t stay!!!! Mean people. May you reap what you have sown! Please learn from our misfortune. Loop 2 has the sewage filtration system by the bathroom.
We have been here several times and love the place. The mile long access road to the campground is PUNISHING. At 5 miles per hour out Class C sustained significant damage from this road, which took 3 days and a LOT of money to fix. Management could not care less. Just put crush and run stone down instead of the huge rocks they have used for years and the problem would be fixed. We will return, but ONLY after they fix that road. Too expensive otherwise.
