We stayed in our tent at one of their campsites and had a great time! All the staff was very friendly and helpful as well as welcoming! The new bar at the pool was fantastic! Everything seems to be well taken care of and clean. The club at night was a blast as well!

About 6 years ago a man from Canada told me about how wonderful Roseland is. It has been on my bucket list ever since. Finally, I made it. It surpassed my expectations. This place is a mountain top paradise. Very friendly and welcoming staff. It's also very clean. The views are spectacular. Great food at the bar, great food at the restaurant. The pool area is gorgeous and will be even better next season with the planned renovations. I highly suggest their frozen drinks! Mmmm! Pizza is great as well. I found the clientele to be a refreshing mix of professionals, very friendly. The seasonal folks are also very nice and inclusive. Now for the bad part! The drive up the mountain is less than desirable. I found that driving up from New Martinsville via Proctor Creek Rd/St. Joseph's road to be tolerable. I drive a 4WD truck and pull a 25 foot camper. Just be careful! Shout out to Troy, Matt, Ben, Dan, Scott, Chris, Harley, & Tyler. ALL of you made my stay just perfect! It's a hell of a drive from Florida but I'll be back. Sincerely Ed

This place is amazing. Beautiful scenery, great facilities, but most importantly very, very nice people. I can't stress that enough. Just a lot of fun, easy going energy. All the facilities are very nice and the main area feels like a small town square. Showers were all hot and very clean. Food was great. Bar service was great. I literally have no complaints. The drive up is a little aggravating. Just winding and slow and I was just ready for a beer.

Just adding to all the stellar reviews. Stayed there in July 2018. Everything was great: the staff, the other guests, the grounds, the pool, the food. The drive wasn't nearly as scary as I expected. I relied on google maps, but made a point of sticking to interstate highways as much as possible. From the DC area, headed to Morgantown, WV. From there, I-79 north into Pennsylvania, then I-70 west. Crossed briefly into Ohio down to Proctor. Then Proctor Creek Rd. up toward Nolte Ln. Never broke a sweat.

The beautiful winding hillside road to get to the place is in Horrible disrepair. Average speed in a sedan about 15 MPH. A truck with big tires can go much faster without fear of bottoming out on the broken pavement, and sinkholes. Once you arrive life gets great. The views are spectacular thanks to the hills and valleys you are in. The place is very well run and very well groomed. I heard it is 112 acres. Though I can't vouch for that. They Mow and Mow and Mow and edge and groom roads constantly. There seemed to be wifi everywhere, which was great because T-Mobile didn't seem to follow me on this excursion. Our cabin (Deluxe #3) had 2 queen beds (Bring or rent your linens. I never understood this however I have seen it before), a dresser, table and 4 chairs, a picnic table and outside table and chairs as well. Full size range and refrigerator. Sink with hot and cold water, (No Bathroom) the cupboards were well stocked, but a coffee pot was missing. The price is similar to other gay camps with similar facilities. They are very automated. You can run a tab while on the grounds for food or drink or store purchases. A $3 convenience was fair. Drink and food prices were reasonable. You can cook in the deluxe cabins, but they also offer meals as well as a snack bar that is open most of the day and night. Steam room, Sauna and showers as well as the bathrooms were all kept nicely clean. It was hard to find a fault with the place. They do a campfire near the bar at night where everyone is welcome. A great place to meet and chat at night. The large pool with Lounge chairs everywhere is the hot spot in the day time. Extensive hiking trails circle the property. There had been rain, so I never saw them. If you are nearby, you Must make a trip. If your far away... You still should. We're glad we did. The one comment I have, that is obviously their decision to make... Cabin and room rates are the same on a monday as on a Friday or Saturday. We would have extended our stay had it been a bit less.
