Place for the night after a 12 hour drive from Florida. Close to highway and places to eat.The staff at front desk was friendly and polite. The room was clean but carpets need to be changed. Had to pull door hard in order to lock. The breakfast was good.
This email to the fire inspectors and the franchise company.- "Wall outlets in room xxx are so worn that chargers make poor contact and often fall out of the outlet. Electrical outlets on lamps are also worn and provide only intermittent power. I suspect other rooms on this property are also unsafe. "... but the real problem are worn-out outlets that could cause more serious problems like fires if left unaddressed" I'm providing notice to all parties should there actually be a tragic fire at this location." Though less important, the ice machine on level 2, away from the elevator is inop.
We had two comfortable rooms with two double beds each. Very clean, comfortable beds. Very nice shower in a minimal bathroom. The breakfast included once-frozen eggs and ham, placing it above many competitors. Otherwise, the breakfast was fine - and they had donuts! Fine for a stopover while traveling.
I've stayed here for work, and it's been ok. The front desk staff is great, always accommodating any request I have in regards to my room and investigating any complaints I've had. The room layout is really great, and the walk in shower is my favorite feature. Bed is always comfortable, and the extra pillows really make a difference. But I have more complaints than I have favorites in this hotel... Usually housekeeping is good, but the last few weeks my room has had the minimum cleaning.....floors not swept or vacuumed, dirty towels still on the floor, and the couch never gets touched. For the most part it's an ok hotel. One of the biggest issues is the actual guests that stay here. There are dozens of male workers that leave cases of empty beer outside the entrance and cook atrocious smelling food that leaves a stench all through the halls for days and they're always lingering outside and in the stairwells of the hotel, making it a little awkward trying to get through to my room. The doors are always being slammed and usually the screaming children and yelling adults are always near me. There's really not much the staff can do, other than call and ask people to not slam and be inconsiderate, which I appreciate when they do attempt to remedy the situation. The entries into the hotel are supposed to be locked after a certain time, but they never are, which is why I take extra security measures for safety. The breakfast is usually bland, or there isn't much, never any fresh fruit or different set up. Because this stay is paid for by my job, I don't have much choice in staying here; but if I had paid for this trip out of my own pocket, I'd be very unpleased and would likely not return. Has potential to be a 4.5 star place, but there's been more nights than none that I've had to complain about something and rarely get a decent nights rest.…
We stayed at a discounted rate which was over $107 plus pet fee! This place needs to be charging around $75-too many me $90 at the most!!!if they would be returning around that the review would be a lot better it was somewhat clean but not really when you get down to the details! There was hair in the towels the carpet in the hallway was completely dirty , the carpet in the room was mildewy! Also I had problems with the toilet flushing!! This kind of run-down and dingy all together the bed was okay in the staff was nice one red flag though the back door was supposed to be locked after 11 and then never locked way way overpriced definitely not worth it!
