I had always been a fan of the legend of Mothman, so what better way to get myself creeped out than to go to Point Pleasant and stay in a haunted hotel? We arrived around 9:30-10pm and the town was eerily quiet. The hotel itself had a really unique, vintage look that added to the "creep" factor. The staff was... More

The staff was extremely nice. Lowes is an older building/hotel but is full of adventure and takes you back in time. It is said that the hotel is haunted, while I will not confirm or deny, I feel you need to experience and draw your own conclusions. We will be back next year.

A lot of opportunity for this to be a very nice, historic hotel. The staff consisted of 3 people, all very nice and friendly. The hotel is in need of some general maintenance, and cleaning. The room we stayed in was spacious, but needed to be cleaned. The furniture in our room was a mixture of antique and lower quality... More

My husband and I recently did a road trip visiting historical, haunted, unique and off-the-road places in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Point Pleasant was on our list because of the supposedly haunted and historical Lowe, the Mothman Museum and the rich history from Revolutionary times found in Point Pleasant. We were not disappointed in the Lowe. We stayed on... More

Step back in time at this nostalgic beautiful old hotel located in the middle of the historic town of Point Pleasant WV. We loved our stay in this quaint little town which has several antique shops nearby. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you are at a home away from home.

My two friends and I were In town for the launch of The Mothman GeoCoin Trail. When looking for a place to stay for the weekend, I used Trip Advisor to search. This hotel didn't post their fees. None were listed and instructed to call the hotel for costs. I don't do that, if they don't post costs, I don't... More

Such a great historic hotel! If you don't have a sense of whimsy, this is not the place for you. Our room was large and very comfortable. We had fun with the owners and regulars in the bar. You can request a haunted room if you wish. Right across the street from the Moth Man Museum. Some internet sites refer... More

First I would like to apologize to the Lowe Hotel. I wrote a review stating they had b.e.d.b.u.g.s. We had went out to the TNT area and later that night realized what I thought were bugs in our bed, on my son, on the floor etc. We left in a panic. We loved the owner and the hotel n were... More

Though it sounds trite, the Lowe Hotel is like a remnant from the Victorian past. It’s a sprawling thing with cavernous ceilings, narrow, lengthy corridors and unexpected living spaces on each floor. In many respects, the venerable Lowe has a spirit of its own. There’s an elderly decadence about it. You feel like the hotel has been waiting for crowds... More

If you like Holiday Inn type of stays, this is not your place. If you appreciate old buildings and find unique stays charming - this is the place. Hubby and I decided to drive with Pt Pleasant as our destination. We ended up with a suite o we looking the Ohio River. Our own bathroom, two bedrooms and a sitting... More
