My husband and I recently did a road trip visiting historical, haunted, unique and off-the-road places in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Point Pleasant was on our list because of the supposedly haunted and historical Lowe, the Mothman Museum and the rich history from Revolutionary times found in Point Pleasant. We were not disappointed in the Lowe. We stayed on... More

Step back in time at this nostalgic beautiful old hotel located in the middle of the historic town of Point Pleasant WV. We loved our stay in this quaint little town which has several antique shops nearby. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you are at a home away from home.

Such a great historic hotel! If you don't have a sense of whimsy, this is not the place for you. Our room was large and very comfortable. We had fun with the owners and regulars in the bar. You can request a haunted room if you wish. Right across the street from the Moth Man Museum. Some internet sites refer... More

First I would like to apologize to the Lowe Hotel. I wrote a review stating they had b.e.d.b.u.g.s. We had went out to the TNT area and later that night realized what I thought were bugs in our bed, on my son, on the floor etc. We left in a panic. We loved the owner and the hotel n were... More

Though it sounds trite, the Lowe Hotel is like a remnant from the Victorian past. It’s a sprawling thing with cavernous ceilings, narrow, lengthy corridors and unexpected living spaces on each floor. In many respects, the venerable Lowe has a spirit of its own. There’s an elderly decadence about it. You feel like the hotel has been waiting for crowds... More

If you like Holiday Inn type of stays, this is not your place. If you appreciate old buildings and find unique stays charming - this is the place. Hubby and I decided to drive with Pt Pleasant as our destination. We ended up with a suite o we looking the Ohio River. Our own bathroom, two bedrooms and a sitting... More

After visiting the Mothman Museum my friends and I ventured over to see what it looked like inside. The rooms where immaculate and themed in various time eras and historical elements. The staff was nothing short of amazing !! Will definitely be back for a stay !! This is a must stop !!

Stopped in today to talk with the owner of this property and the staff kindly took us on a tour! We had NO idea what we were in store for! The owner of this hotel is doing everything right! She has put extensive detail into each of the rooms and we were simply blown away! She has styled different rooms... More

Point Pleasant WVA is a very interesting place and is foremost in the History of our great county.I think it was George Washington who changed the name from pleasant Point to Point Pleasant where the Ohio river and one I cannot even spell come together. A mural along the water front shows lots of scenes, most notable is one that... More

Worth a road trip. History, mystery, curiosity. Any of those are good reasons to come to Point Pleasant, WV and this is the THE place to stay. It's almost frozen in time, a large 4 floor hotel with rooms decorated in unique ways to compliment the time period of the hotel, ghost stories are plentiful and the back looks out... More
