We drove from North Carolina for a wedding, and had made our reservations online. The pictures looked nice and the B&B looked like a great spot, until we arrived. Not only is there only road signs, but not a sign anywhere on the actually Inn so we weren't even sure if we were at the right place. Once arriving we...

Picked this B &B from a WV lodging site. It was a snowy, very cold weekend but it made sitting by the fireplace in the common room that much cozier. The hosts were great. We spent time the first evening having drinks and conversation. We love to play board games and we joined the hosts in a Sequence competition. Dinner...

Our family of four stayed over at the Nostalgia Inn for a night while in transit to the Midwest. It felt very much like visiting our parents, which for our family trip was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. The temperature was warm in the room, augmented by space heaters in the room, and otherwise cool throughout the inn...

Called 2 weeks ahead and was told no reservation needed, just call when we are on the way. They are a 10 hour drive so called 5 hours into our drive and were told " i don't feel like cleaning the room so there is no room available". Made other arrangements and will not try again. Very disappointed

I had never stayed at a B&B before so this was a nice surprise. My family had planned on staying at a hotel and called the owners when my sister told us how much she enjoyed her stay the night before. We arrived late in the evening and Jim was very hospitable. He showed us around and made us feel...

This was a strange stay. We'd stayed there before, and we really like the hosts, but this time, toward the end of April, we felt like the place was not quite open. We made our reservation online the night before, but since we'd not gotten a confirmation email, we phoned when we were an hour away. They had not checked...

The Nostalgia Inn is a charming place in a beautiful location, literally across the street from Pipestem State Park. The rooms are spacious and clean, the hosts very friendly - we enjoyed a cocktail with them on the front porch. In fact, it felt as if we were visiting family, as we chatted with our hosts in the kitchen as...

We were a little concerned reserving two nights in a place with so few reviews but it was a wonderful stay. It is not a historic place and the rooms were originally a sales office used for selling nearby RV lots but the present owner converted the space to six large and comfortable clean modern rooms. The owners were wonderful...

Our visits included stays in the Mingo and McDowell Suites… Quick facts: 1. Website < http://www.nostalgiainn.com/> 2. If you access the Inn by turning onto the street/driveway directly across from the Pipestem Resort State Park turnoff…hug the left side of the gravel drive or you will end up in the trailer park area 3. Parking available for easy access to...

My friend and I recently stayed at the Nostalgia Inn for the weekend. It was an absolutely beautiful place to get away and relax. Ellie and Jim were wonderful, breakfast delicious, the inn charming. There was lemon pound cake available when we arrived and our gracious hosts were more than happy to share a glass of wine or cup of...

“Best to phone in advance to be sure they know about your reservation, and April is probably too early. If television is important, ask for a room that has it.”

“We stayed in a two-bedroom suite, available if you want. Not all rooms have TV (ask if it's important to you), though all have wi-fi. If you are staying there to visit Pipestem State Park, be sure to check when the tram to the river is open. We missed it - not open until mid-May.”
