First of all if trip advisor phone app says no availability, call and make sure. The app said full up and we called and they had vacancies. That being said this is a hotel with beautiful views. We were asked if we wanted to pay $10 more for a view and we were sure glad we did. Absolutely beautiful. As...

Ride horses, take walks, or simply sit and watch wildlife. More than enough to do. If you book, make sure you know which of the hotels you are booked in. The website isn't clear about that. There the main hotel at the top of the mountain, then a tram can take you down to the valley if you don't want...

We stayed overnight in early January 2017 and could not have been happier. Even though there had been a snowfall, the road from Rt. 20 to the Lodge had been cleared and we had no difficulty getting there. The people were very friendly and helpful. When we looked out our window, we had a fantastic view of the gorge and...

We stayed at McKeever lodge, RM 211, from Fri to Mon. This was a trip to visit family and to attend the parks annual NYE party. We checked in late on Fri after it had snowed the night before. The parking lot was not cleaned and was incredibly difficult to walk in. The room is your standard room with an...

We visited for the first time: a long week-end get-away, with another couple who golfed, & who had been here many times. All 4 of us LOVED it. The golf is great. The scenery is wonderful. We saw many deer & other wildlife as we drove or walked along some of the park's many delightful paths. The cable car down...

Visited Pipestem Resort State Park in late April for an overnight on a photography vacation road trip and was so impressed I vowed to return in the Fall. I stayed at the McKeever Lodge in Rooms 419 (April), 619 (October) and 719 (October), each a single overnight. I have mobility issues and one thing I didn't get to do in...

On a recent visit my family and I stayed at Pipestem Resort. What an amazing view of the mountains and the fall foilage. The staff was very accommodating and the food was very very good. I can't wait to return for another visit to This Magnificent place cause there's so much to discover and do. And if I ever get...

We stayed in the cabins so this review is just about cabins. Pipestem is desperately in need of upgrades and management. The cabin prices are bargain basement but still not worth the price. With dirty windows (the glass in the storm door appeared to have been vomited on some time ago), dirty floors (barefoot or with white socks your feet...

Pipestem Resort State Park's McKeever Lodge is a large, clean Lodge in an absolutely beautiful location in West Virginia. Our room is clean, quiet and comfortable and a nice size. Apparently most rooms have one queen and one double bed. Since it is just the two of us, we have the double bed covered with our luggage. Our one complaint,...

Unfortunately, Pipestem lodges need renovation. The rooms are clean but old. The lodge below the aerial lift, Mt Creek River Lodge, is in worse shape than the main lodge. Pipestem has 2 golf courses an 18 hole and an executive par 3. Due to funding the Par 3 course is being closed this Fall. Pipestem used to be a want...
