My bf and I checked in recently for a one-night visit (Saturday, Jan. 28) to get away and also see how the resort stacked up. The location of the Avalon Resort is amazing. It is very remote and cell phone coverage was not available much. That being said, this is truly a lovely location deep in rural WV. Check-in was...

I stayed there late summer of 2015, as a single male trying to just relax and get away from the real world and some extreme stress. First, let me say that the atmosphere is NOT sexual. It is friendly and inviting. There are people of all ages and backgrounds; though you can't tell anyone's status in society without a conversation....

Most of our room had never been cleaned. There was still a glow in the dark band hanging on the photo in the pictures, The ceiling fan and heater had not been cleaned. possibly ever. For the price tag we had hoped for a nice place to stay an a good experience, I have never tried a naturist resort. The...

My wife and I went with our 36' foot travel trailer and used the "Main Campground". The area to the left (south west) is almost all permanent trailer sites and the area to the right (north east) is about half and half from what we could tell. So, this left very few sites to chose from and fewer still that...

Emphasizing the point - this is a clothing optional resort - you will encounter people of all gages and genders who are partially or completely nude. The lodge rooms are decent - the condos appear to be a better deal, although then you have to pay day-use charges. Facilities are in good shape. The Nudesino is a nice, albeit pricey...

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful clothing optional resort in West Virginia. We have been to several nudist resorts in the eastern US and so far this would be our favorite during the warmer months. We stayed in the resort's condominium unit, which was quiet, clean and well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the woodland trails and...

I have visited one clothing optional beach many years ago while on vacation in Hawaii and I enjoyed the sensation of sun all over me. When some friends told me about Avalon I thought I'd give clothing optional another try for a quick day trip. The friendly check in staff made sure I had my map and list of activities....

I have held off writing about my experience (now plural) at Avalon for several reasons, the most important one being that it's extremely difficult to explain to people what nudism is like if they have not experienced it. Like most people, I had this preconceived notion that a nude resort was some sort of salacious, hedonistic place where a (group)...

The Avalon is a wonderful clothing-optional resort located in the hills of West Virginia near Paw Paw. It has plenty of activities throughout the year and provides a setting of serenity for any vacation, weekend getaway, or social seeker. Everyone I have met greeted me and welcomed me as one of their own while maintaining a sense of social encouragement...

We have been coming here for over a year now. Started camping and we purchased a condo where we will be retiring. We love Avalon and everyone there. The staff are wonderful, the Lodge rooms are close to everything, pools(2) indoor and outdoor, Hot Tubs(2) Nudsino, Bare Barn, dances every Saturday night, AvalonFest music festival, Bikes and BBQ Festival, tennis...
