We were traveling from Florida to Ohio, and weren’t sure exactly when and where we would stop, so I was unable to pre-book hotels. Once we got tired of driving I searched Tripadvisor and found this hotel. It was the cheapest in the area, and did not really have any bad reviews, and although we’ve never stayed at a sleep in, we decided to try it out. I was very happy and very impressed with this hotel, especially considering the low price. It appeared very new. It was not busy at all. I only saw two other people at the hotel while we were there. Although it only had three floors (I believe), it seemed like a good size hotel. Our room was in a great location, at the end of the hallway where there was a door leading outside. Our room was spotless. There was not one bad thing I could say about it. Everything appeared so new and clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Plenty of towels. Working TV. Breakfast in the morning was really the only disappointing part about the hotel. There were only muffins, danishes, bagels, and toast. The waffle machine was not on/did not work. The milk and creamer were in regular containers, not individualized, which I found gross. But, we had Coffee, along with the bagels and danishes, and it was fine- we were not staying there for the breakfast! Also, the two employees that I saw there were not very friendly. But again, not a big deal. I was thrilled to find a hotel that had availability and was in such great shape! …
There were only 2 cars in the lot on a Friday night, and they got irritated because I wanted sugar for morning coffee in my room. The Desk Mngr. could barely speak english, and although I was cleared for late checkout as a Diamond Choice member, he threatened to call the police the next AM if I stayed past noon. Even after I showed him online the choice perks, he kept saying "I call polishe, you blackmail me, I call polished." Stay far away from this hotel that just got sold to new owners. It will soon lose all it's past awards. I wish I could post a 0 but it wouldn't let me.
Found a refreshing hotel on our trip to Ohio. We stayed at the Sleep Inn, Parkersburg, West Virginia. This wasn't our first visit to a Sleep Inn. Our prior visits to this chain have been very satisfactory. This stop didn't disappoint. The unit looks exceptional in appearance, sanitation and layout. Our room was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable and spotless. It may sound funny, but as a 6ft. 2inch man I'm used to having shower head beat my forehead with a steady stream. The shower head was at least a foot taller than me with a adjustable flow head. Their breakfast room (very spacious) offered a good fresh variety of hot and cold foods to enjoy. I highly recommend this Sleep Inn.
Staff is Awesome and very willing to do all they can to make your stay as comfortable as they can! Place is just a few years old and very clean. Breakfast is tasty with a variety of choices and the parking is easy, accommodating, and open for your viewing from most rooms! Stayed here with my family while working in the area for a few MONTHS and we all really liked it
This newer property was built to cater to the fracking industry (hence the sign). It is clean, comfortable, decent water pressure and very comfortable beds. Our king room was a little small but still had a sofa, desk, chair and a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. Breakfast had all the standard fare with a large, well laid out serving and eating area. A well managed property for a stop along I-77.
