The Old Clark Inn is THE place to stay in or near Marlinton! Andrea and Nelson are the best hosts! I have stayed at the OCI many times over the years. The riding in the area is simply awesome and the OCI offers a great place to stay for the night or several nights. A great front porch for front...

The Inn is reminscent of traveling in the '30's or '40s, but with modern convieniences. Very nice Inn keepers and very cean. Rooms are small, outfitted with period funishings and comfortable. But visulize an old home that has been modernized. Small private shower/toilet area attached to the room and sink/mirror in the room. window AC, ceiling fan , flat screen...

Thank you for this review, you have painted a wonderfully clear picture for interested travelers. (It is worth mentioning that most of our rooms do have queen size beds if that is preferred.) The front porch is a favorite spot for many at the end of a full day experiencing the wonders of West Virginia. We are so pleased you...

My friend and I recently biked the Greenbrier River Trail and stayed at the Old Clark Inn. The Inn is only 1 block off of the trail and very bike friendly. They have a covered bike shed in the back where many bikes can park. We got the economy room for ~$60. Two single beds in an air conditioned room...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for leaving a thorough review. We are glad the economy room with the hall bath worked out for you--the bath may or may not be shared and it saves you a few bucks either way. This is a very popular stop for bicyclists and the opportunity to mingle with other travelers...

Had not been here in 10 years and Nelson remembered me and my friends. I love to ride in WV and The Old Clark Inn is right where it needs to be. The roads are excellent no matter which direction you go. I will be returning there in a few weeks. One of the best things about the Inn is...

My recent stay was for one night 4/16/16 - would have been longer but that work thing gets in the way. I stayed in Room #1. It has private bath a Queen size bed, couple chairs, area to hang cloth and small dresser. Bed, linens, and room an whole was very comfortable. Stay included breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit,...

Thank you so much, Henry! It was nice seeing you again and hopefully that "work thing" won't keep you from getting back here on that shiny BMW in the near future. Also hoping to meet your wife if you both can make it out to bike the Greenbrier Trail!

My friends and I have been here twice in different years. We are motorcyclists and since West Virginia is motorcycle heaven (lots of great roads with scenery, and not a lot of traffic), this was a good stop for us. Its an older home that is Bed and Breakfast Inn type. Not fancy, but comfortable. Added bonus is that a...

Thanks so much for your honest review. This area is a top destination for motorcyclists on the east coast and we do get a great mix of travelers making for a fun and interesting evening. Our inn was built as The Clark Hotel in 1924, and as stated--we are all about comfort and not about fluff. For the last few...

Andrea and Nelson run a fantastic B & B in the heart of Marlinton, WV! Our motorcycle riding group had a tradition of staying on Snowshoe mountain for over 30 years until we discovered The Old Clark Inn. OCI is affordable, clean, friendly and accommodating. From the front porch with rocking chairs to the fire pit in the back yard,...

Nelson is so friendly you could see him in the roll of John boy Walton. The price is fantastic, with clean, well appointed rooms. It is modern enough to keep you connected with the age and charm to remind you of how life was in the days long gone. Coffee is fresh at 7, kitchen is very well thought out....

Revisited a childhood residence from over 40 years ago and took my wife on a road trip. The Old Clark was my intentional accommodation from fond memories. Clean, nostalgic, and even romantic. Well we don't get many motorcyclists in December (mostly skiers!) so you folks were a sight for sore eyes. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us as well as the great riding. Thank you for writing this review, it is truly appreciated. Hope you will come back and see us in the summer when some of the attractions are open!
