My wife and I camped here for five weeks in out 31’ Airstream. We had full hook-ups. It’s a great campground near the Greenbank Observatory. In addition to the full hook up, there is a large kitchen and lodge area as well as large bathhouses and a laundry room. This area of West Virginia is absolutely beautiful! Numerous state parks and recreation areas are within a few hours or less drive. We will return !

On my recent road trip to Marlinton, West Virginia, I needed a place to stay that is pet friendly. I found a Eaden on the Alleghenys. If you’re looking for something fancy like a five star motel, this is not the one for you. But if you’re looking for a clean place to lay your head at night and rest, check this one out. It is a family owned retreat. There are camping spots with full hook ups, there are some cabins, as well as regular rooms. The setting is quiet and rural, with a creek running through the property. There is a laundry and a café as well as other buildings. Now the room is basic. It covers your basic needs. There’s heat and air conditioning. There’s a bathroom with a shower. If you want to watch TV, you’re out of luck. But there’s plenty to do in the area so you’ll be too tired to watch TV anyway. Wi-Fi is available. I was able to get Wi-Fi in my room, but it was very sporadic. The signal is stronger at the café. Every morning I would take my dog for a walk out the lane and back. The scenery is beautiful. It’s only about 10 minutes from Marlinton and close Watoga State Park. While you’re there, be sure to visit the Cranberry Glades and Beartown State Park, too!

Our family of four absolutely loved it here! The hosts were so kind and responsive. We had everything we needed- my kids unplugged and we actually enjoyed hours of talks, board games and just hanging out. Although no TV or WiFi in the room, we could connect if needed in the cozy community room. We were wanting a laid back, rural, mountainous location and got exactly that. If you’re looking for a clean place with nostalgic, rustic 70s charm to bring back memories, this could be right up your alley. Be prepared, we were here during a rainy weekend and it was quite muddy. But we had our snow boots so didn’t bother us. Actually added to the authenticity of the intended trip. Left feeling rested and ready for 2021!! Definitely on our repeat list - bet it’s beautiful every season.

60's motel accomodations, but clean, quiet, and inexpensive. The kitchen and refridgerator are available to anyone with a purchase of any room. Foosball, good seating, and an oil fire stove are all part of the amenities.
