Another lovely stay at the Guesthouse! Our last visit was 15 years ago for our first anniversary; this year’s visit was even better than we remembered. Fabulous food, gracious hosts in Gary & Jessie, and a plethora of cozy places to read, relax, and refresh. Be sure to make plans to enjoy the on-site restaurant for dinner.

Had a wonderful time at Guesthouse. Jesse and Gary are great hosts and always very accommodating. Beautiful grounds, excellent food, and I love the log cabin feel of the lounges. A great place to escape the city for a long weekend

We enjoyed a great weekend in the Hobson cabin, which was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Like the rest of the property, it was well maintained and lovingly cared for. Jesse & Gary, as well as the whole staff, do their best to make you feel welcome. The main building has a lot of cozy communal areas to enjoy drinks and socializing. The breakfast is a fixed menu each am, but there many selections for different preferences at dinner. The staff is very accommodating to specific dietary needs. A lot of local people seem to come for dinner on Sat nights so be sure to have a reservation. The food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. They are very mindful of Covid 19 safety protocols. It seems perfect for couples or small groups seeking a peaceful setting.

This was my first time going to a place like this. By place like this as far as a place not full of screaming tiny humans and with an overwhelming amount of things to do. I got to relax which is something I needed. I got to experience nature, saw beautiful birds that aren't seen in my home state and saw a pack of coyotes. They also have a beautiful mini horse who is super friendly and loved the treats that Jesse gave me for him. Let's talk about Jesse and Gary the owners. They are amazing. The most surprising thing that I walked in and Gary knew who I was. I was wondering what kind of magic he had going on lol. They are both friendly and I learned so much. They answered any and all questions that I asked. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was amazing and I hope to visit again before the year ends. I am glad that I got to experience this place as Spring was starting to appear.

Superbly decorated peaceful (silent) room with magnificent views, delicious food at dinner, reasonably priced drinks, warm hospitalble super welcoming atmosphere by the delightful innkeepers Gary and Jesse (one a Southern raconteur and the other a realtor, but wont tell you which is which), delicious bountiful home made breakfasts included, amazing great house and olunges with fireplace with full gym and media room, amaxing, amazing and healing. INcredible original art everywhere, some on display some for sale, and others their private collection supporting local super talented WV artist... Thank you again Gary and Jesse!
