We received a AAA discount and a queen room on the first floor. It had a small serviceable bath and nice sized room with antique furnishings. Parking was near the room and decorations were homey and special with lights and greenery. The place has a great feel and it's easy to find yourself transplanted to the 1800s. The bar and...

This was our third visit to the inn, beginning for my son's wedding at Valley View Farm (also fabulous experience!). We've seen it updated without loosing any of its historic feel and charm. First, historic and lovely entry desk moved to adjourning room which was turned into a bar/lounge, complete with firesplace. A delighful upgrade. Dining experience and staff always...

My wife and I stayed at this Inn 3-4 years ago and we had a very pleasant stay and experience, wth the room and dining amenities as to food and ambiance, including a live fire in the dining room. However, when we returned in December 2016, we had a bad experience with the room and food service as to dinner...

We attended our niece's wedding and stayed at the General Lewis Inn. The wedding reception was held at the Inn. The owner and her staff did an outstanding job and were attentive to details. The food was excellent and our room was nice. However, I did have to duck my head under the bathroom door way. All in all, a...

There has not been a trip Lewisburg where I miss out on going to the General Lewis. The Inn is located perfectly just blocks from the center of town. From the staff to the food, it's all divine. The owners have found a perfect balance of improving the necessary to keep the Inn at it's best, while still maintaining a...

The inn was charming. Our room (211) was very spacious, with a canopy bed plus an area with a small sofa, coffee table, and arm chair. The bathroom was very small, and the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but that did not detract. The bed was comfortable, and two windows looked out onto the back patio...

This larger B&B retains all the charm of a small B&B with more rooms. Home baked cookies and bar with table games at the fireplace all fit very well with the feel. Close to historic area of LewisBurg so walking to theater or dinner is easy. The rooms all looked great. Our room was priced a bit higher than some...

The General Lewis Inn is Lewisburg's gem sitting on a small hillside in the historic district just 2 blocks from the center of town. Built in 1834 with its stately columns, the Inn has 25 rooms on its 2 floors including the 1928 addition. We reserved room 204, (located in the original section of the inn) the beautiful blue West Virginia...

Stayed here with friends for a long weekend. This is a gem that is well worth experiencing - but don't expect modern, large rooms. Instead enjoy a sense of what it must have been like 100 years ago to stay in a top notch Inn where people gather around the bar just off the lobby to chat over a nice...

The general Lewis inn at Lewisburg WV is a very nice destination for a weekend trip. The Inn is very comfortable with many antiques and comfortable rooms. The room we had was well appointed a with antique furniture but did have a tv. The bathroom was nice but small, with comfortable towels and locally made soap. The location is close...
