My wife and I were on a mini paranormal tour of West Virginia and spent the night in room 208, which has many stories that go along with it's beautiful period decor. Let's just say the room and whomever/whatever is in said room did not disappoint. We also enjoyed a top of the line cocktail and dinner in the restaurant downstairs. We will be back for a whole weekend to further explore this amazing mountain village!

The whole experience was great from beginning to end. We stayed in 208, a large well appointed room. The staff, in particular Emma, Zowie and John were attentive and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Lewisburg was a wonderful place to walk , shop and eat. Particular for us was the Humble Tomato - great! We will be back again!

My sister and I meet here once a year around Thanksgiving time. We always have a wonderful time. The place is charming, the beds comfortable, the staff kind, the food yummy. In the evening after shopping we sit around the fireplace near the bar and restaurant and play games or write out our Christmas cards. Have never been disappointed!

Linens and toiletries were very nice. ALL people working there were exceptionally nice and helpful. That is where our enjoyment ended. The "historic" part has been diminished over the last few years. The "bar" added to the parlor was very loud and distracting. There were NO "warm" places to relax. Our room, the "Master Bedroom" was void of little historic touches. The furniture was antique, but there were no small items to make it seem "warm" or historic. We have stayed here many times, but this trip was very disappointing! Add to that the very high prices and you get no reason to return. Even the food in the seldom open restaurant was over priced. People traveling in the area should go the additional 12 miles and stay at The Greenbrier!

We stayed as a stopover on way to Virginia Beach. Such a beautiful inn and great customer service. We are at the restaurant on site and the food was amazing. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this beautiful place. The downtown area is so close and a fun place to shop.
