Adventures on the Gorge exceeded our expectations with the cleanliness and the cabin set up. The location is spectacular, right on the rim on the New River Gorge. The views are breath taking. The staff is very friendly. LORD willing, we will be making additional trips to the Gorge.
We stayed for three nights in a one bedroom Outback Cabin. It was off season so we had the place to ourselves. The Outback cabin with hot tub was a very pleasant stay. Spent our days hiking and our nights relaxing in the cabin. Very comfortable accommodations.
We love AOTG! This was our 2nd time staying, and we brought family with us. They also loved it! It is so relaxing, fun, and perfect for us! We will be back in the summer to enjoy all the activities! We can't wait to go back!
My fiance and I have been coming to AOTG for several years and have loved every visit! We started vacationing here the year we started dating, and now we love bringing our toddler (and have another on the way!). We have stayed in the one bedroom Outback Cabins which are incredible and we have also camped on different occasions. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful and truly go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. There are so many activities and the guides are awesome. Really can't recommend this place enough!
Couldn’t recommend staying at AOTG enough let alone the white water rafting experience - October is a beautiful time to see the beauty that the Gorge provides (don’t worry about being cold - just get a wetsuit!). I can’t wait to come again!
Cold weather day on the Lower Gauley. Admittedly scary but great guides and everyone stayed in the boat. The pics were also great. Glad we stayed in a cabin. Food was good and glad we stayed on campus. Will go again
If you're in the area, or anywhere close, put this place on your bucket list and do as much as you can while you're there! It's truly amazing!!! There are so many activities you can participate in and the area is just beautiful!
Nice, convient and comfortable resort. It was a such a lovely experience. We got to explore the New River Gorge National Park and stay very close. The atmosphere was great with a combination of luxury resort with the outdoor theme.
The cabin was clean. The guided hike was fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable about botany, geology, and local history. Well worth the cost of the hike. The property was great for kids and adults. HIghly recommend a vacation at Adventures on the Gorge!
Overall staff and amenities of this resort were outstanding. We had some first timers and some that have rafted over 40 years and they just keep getting better every year! I hope we can do it again and every year until I can't raft any more... 58 years old and time of my life!
