There are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. We came to Coco Plum to Celebrate our 25th Anniversary and it was the best decision we could have made! The service and food are top notch. Mrs. Jude and the kitchen staff definitely know what they’re doing. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are all so friendly and somehow know your names before you know theirs. All the servers, Shauna, Brianna, Mark, Kayla, Evelyn and Amador we’re so nice dealing with our picky eating. We definitely never went hungry actually the opposite everything was so good we ate more than we should. The bar tenders were wonderful! Jess, Omar and Santiago were so friendly and entertaining and on top of it. We never had to wait long on a drink which was a nice change from other resorts we have visited. Bella in the office was so sweet. We loved talking to her and hearing about her life growing up. Alex is a awesome manager. We never had to worry about what was going on since he would always let us know what was planned for the next day. Lyndon, Ray and Darwin were the best snorkel guides making sure we saw all kinds of sea life. A special shout out to Allen who never failed to make me smile everyday. We did the couples massage and it is something you should not miss. Last but not least Jose was an amazing tour guide on our excursions. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything in Belize. We learned a lot of things we never knew. I could go on and on. If you are thinking about going, do it! You will not be disappointed. We have already booked for next year and cannot wait to return!

This resort blew my expectations out of the water! Looking at the gorgeous pictures online does not do this resort justice. We went during February when there was not a cloud in the sky, perfect breeze, and the water was so clear you could throw a rock and watch it sink to the bottom 100 ft away. The amount of reviews that say the food was bad can but counted on one hand. The other 1500 (300 hands worth...) reviews say the food here was AMAZING and I couldn't agree more. Everything was fresh and made to order and the dining staff was very accommodating. My girlfriend is lactose intolerant and before we had to ask, the servers were telling us about the dairy free options that were readily available for her. I can guarantee the same goes for GF and vegan as well. It is true that all meals included a seafood option, but most meals did have a meat option as well. But, come on... do you really not expect to be eating seafood at an island resort in the Caribbean? That being said, because it is an island resort in the Caribbean, this is best seafood you will ever experience! By far, the best part of this resort is the staff and the invaluable customer service they bring to the island! When we first arrived we were kindly greeted by the staff by our first names like royalty. You are more than just a guest when you stay here. As cheesy as it sounds, they make you feel like family.

We chose Coco Plum Island Resort to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Best choice we could’ve made. As we approached the island by boat, we both realized it would be a special place. As we docked, we were met by Alex and staff. Immediately, we were greeted with smiles, a warm welcome, cool towels, and drinks. Introductions all around by the same smiling faces that gave us the feeling we were welcomed and would be well taken care of in our stay. The accommodations are very cozy and clean and spaced allowing for all the privacy anyone would want. Daily room services provided to always enter with a freshly made bed and continued comfort for the length of the stay. The gathering places for social time, pool use, and meals were very laid back and relaxed. The food is impeccable! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were always great, offering choices for each meal. The portions were just right and we were never left hungry meal to meal. Activities galore! Many things to do on the island, offered excursions, and/or, just do nothing at all. We are on a sailboat and what we like to do is to visit various islands for a few days. We have been in Belize for the last 5 months and visited several cays. They are all nice and unique but Coco Plum Caye is just special. Why? Because it looks like the paradise, they have cabanas with different colors, one villa on the sea, several traditional huts on the pier. The water is crystal blue and clean, you can use the pool if the sea becomes rough. You can paddle around the island or any surrounding islands in one of the kayaks or for if you have experience with sailing you can use their hobie cat. You may ask what is so special about all of this, many islands have it. Well the thing that makes the experience unforgettable is their staff. Usually what you see is staff being polite because it comes with their job but here I felt it was different. They truly love their job and care about their customers. The first day they all knew our names and even remembered our diet choices and made sure to proactively offer alternatives. They are enjoying themselves and are very proud to work there. We felt special. And that completed our experience. Five stars are not enough. We would like to thank their managers Alex and Carlos, the bartenders Erwin and Jessie and the waiters Bella and Bryan. You all are warmhearted, wonderful people!

These words describe perfectly everything you need to know about this resort and this island. When we were told about Coco Plum it was hard to imagine a place being so perfect. Upon our arrival by boat to the resort we were greeted with the famous "mosquito bite" cocktail as well as a cool towel to wipe off the days travel. The staff immediately called us by name and proceeded to show us around the report. It is hard to pay attention to the tour because the views are out of this world and I couldn't believe we were standing on this pristine paradise. The food was fresh and delicious every day. There are many activites and tours so that even the guest who has a hard time sitting still (my husband) can keep occupied. The zip lining and cave tubing tour is one not to be missed. We have been to many "5 star" resorts and one thing that is missing in them all but that Coco Plum has in spades is the customer service. It was a sad day when we had to say goodbye to Jose, Jess, Omar, Martha, Bryan, Alex, Miss Jude, Landy, Robert and Julie. Each one of the special people made us feel welcome and as if we were a part of their family. Coco Plum Island is the most amazing, fabulous and beautiful resort. We met many wonderful people at the resort and we are looking forward to our next trip to Coco Plum Island next year.

This was our first time traveling to Belize and we decided to book Coco Plum Cay for our honeymoon. We had a very large destination wedding in Cancun the week prior and we were looking for somewhere close to Mexico that we could fly directly to for honeymoon. Coco Plum did not disappoint. The island was picturesque, the water was crystal clear and blue, the staff were extraordinary and the food every day was delicious. The staff to guest ratio was 1:1 and we were always greeted by name, from all of the staff on the island, as if we were close friends. I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say about our trip.
I was slightly concerned that we may get bored being stuck on a small island for a week without enough things to do but I was very wrong. The resort has excursions dialed in, from transportation, guides, bookings, etc...they handle everything and you just tell them each day if you are interested in participating or not (all included, no extra fees). We did an inland zip lining / cave tubing tour one day and snorkeling at the coral reefs a couple other days. On the days we decided to stay on the island we did paddle boarding, we learned how to sail using the Hobie Cat, and we walked to the neighboring island to explore and have a drink at their bar. Tip: don't forget cash if you decide to drink there. We did and they were gracious enough to put us on the honor system and we paddle boarded back later that day and paid for our drinks.
Overall, we had plenty to do if we wanted to, and the absolute most ideal setting for when we chose to do absolutely nothing but lounge, nap, read and drink. We highly recommend the hammocks over the water for naps, or the numerous day beds available along the beach. Lastly, the Cabanas on the island are the absolute cutest, all with different names and colors. The bedding was even better than many 5 star resorts we have stayed at and the sheets felt like butter.
If you are looking for a boutique style resort with island living, this is your next vacation spot! We truly felt as if we had the whole island to ourselves at many moments throughout our trip.

We’ve been home 48 hours and can’t stop thinking of our week on Coco Plum. The island is truly a private paradise. From the moment you arrive on the island everything you need is completely taken care of by Coco Plum’s amazing staff. Our recent honeymoon to Coco Plum is one that will be forever preciously stored in our fondest memories. Everywhere you look,in each direction from the island you have beauty that surpasses any other we've experienced. From the crystal clear Caribbean waters, the well groomed white sand, the magnificent palms and amazing flowers. The birds, tropical fish and occasional friendly lizard was something amazing to see! The staff is what made our experience extra special. I've never met more genuinely kind people that truly care about your comfort and experience. Many of whom we are now friends with and look forward to seeing them again when we return. Anything you want, need, or can imagine, they will do their best to make it happen. The food! Oh my God!!! The food was simply fantastic! Everything they prepared was so flavorful and eloquently presented that food here back home is disappointing now! My wife and I can't think of one meal we had that we were disappointed in. Even the simple bar snacks they make were outstanding! The drinks made by Ervin and his crew at the bar were equally amazing. I don't drink alcohol, but they did a fabulous job of making me non-alcoholic tropical drinks. My wife seemed to enjoy all of her alcoholic beverages as well. Lots of fun times were had at the bar. From karaoke to sharing stories and making friends, the bar area is definitely a cool spot to visit frequently on the island. We did several excursions during our stay. All were amazing! The snorkeling trips were unique and the underwater wildlife was plentiful. Our tour guide for the cave tubing/zip lining and our trip to the Mayan Ruins was very knowledgeable and an all around fun guy to share the experience with. We felt completely safe and cared for on all our excursions. They definitely were highlights of our trip. All in all, I give our honeymoon way more than 5 stars. We have even decided to make Coco Plum our spot for future anniversaries and we are currently counting down the days until our next visit!

When we arrived on the island, we were greeted with fresh wet towels to wipe our faces and with and a mosquito bite drink to start our week in paradise with a wonderful cocktail. This in itself set a high precedent... They did not disappoint going forward. Alex started us all with an awesome little tour and tutorial of the island while escorting us to our cabanas as we sipped on our cocktails. Afterward, we proceeded to the bar where we met amazing bartenders like Ervin, Omar and Jose. They were personable and pretty damn funny to be honest. The serving staff for the meals (these are all on our stay, may be different on yours) included Bella, Bryan, Landy, and Martha. They were all so friendly and accommodating.Every morning, the entire island is raked and cleaned as if no one had been there by the awesome grounds staff. Any outings you have that require a boat ride will have Robert and/or Mike making sure you're day is perfect. The inland outings have Bruno, who gives you so much Belizean information and its history. The food is amazing.. If you're going for big resort selection, and want to be picky, it's not for you. Every meal provided by Mrs. Jude was made to perfection. She even made sure to accommodate my wife's allergies to gluten and seafood for every meal ahead of time. They went above and beyond in all aspects.. Lastly, due to the small island, you get to know all the guests during your stay, which makes it even more fun. It's like you're staying with old friends! All in all, if you're wanting a beautiful surrounding with amazing people, do not skip this place!! WE WILL BE BACK!

We loved our vacation on Coco Plum Island Resort! We stayed in the Starlight villa, it was literally steps from the ocean! I mean absolute paradise. The rooms were well appointed with comfortable bedding, a couch, kitchenette with a coffee maker and refrigerator. The location was literally like being on your own private island. The island was fully booked when we were there, however it felt as if only a few people were there. The food was wonderful and the staff take special note of any aversions, allergies, etc. We did get the "Just Chillin" package that included alcoholic beverages and I was not aware until we got to Belize that the "local" alcohol does not include wine. Please be advised that if you drink wine you may bring 2 bottles on to the island or pay an up-charge for wine. We chose to scuba dive three days and had an absolutely amazing time! Abi, our dive master, was wonderful. He made our experience one we will never forget.

Every time we've stayed has been different and as with most places during the busy season the island will be full. We kinda prefer the palapas at the end of the island furthest form the bar and those are usually available. There is always the private part of the island as well. no palapas but much more natural and away from most everyone else.
In all of our stays at Coco Plum we have never felt the need to request a specific cabana and have never been disappointed by where we ended up. The island is tiny and even the cabana farthest from the bar is not that far. The island is super well run and staffed.
There is a close line outside and inside items dry with the A/C. You don’t need to get dressed up for dinner, sundress, sandals etc. spent most of the time in swimsuits and coverups. The daily drinks are rum and vodka based usually, my husband said the gin was ok. If you like bourbon or whiskey I would get ahead of time if you can. We used off bug spray, and spent time in cabanas with fan on and didn’t have too many issues with the sand flies. You are going to love it there!
We did not have a GoPro personally but know that several people at the resort had them. Customs was an easy process. After collecting bags you ran them through a standard X-ray and recollected items..hope that helps!..enjoy
