We had an amazing time at the lodge. The service levels were beyond expectation. The fishing guides were professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Their knowledge of the fishing methods and also the bird life was more than one could hope for. The rooms are well appointed and have fans which are essential. There is an excellent laundry service. The swimming... More

My family had a wonderful time here, the guides are great, we caught tigers which the children loved! A really soulful experience. Staff are so hospitable and can't do enough to make one feel comfortable. I will be back, God willing

I have just returned from my second trip to Sekoma Island and once again it was fantastic. It really is a great place to go to get away from it all and do some fishing in spectacular surroundings. We caught plenty of very nice Tigers, the staff are all just great and I am amazed at the food that they... More

We have just spent 5 nights here and found the service impeccable, great food around the camp fire at night and spotlessly clean tents. We had our own guide who looked after us and was ready to take us fishing any time we liked.

Had a four night stay with my 11 year old son and some friends. Despite the very remote location everything is top notch. We ate well, slept well and the fishing was tremendous. The quality of the motorboats provided was very good. Don't forget to ask to go fishing on the rapids, lots of fun and guide does all the... More

What a place. A friend from joberg arranged our visit and I am so grateful to her. It felt like our own private oasis; miles away from the troubles of the world. The rooms are amazing; clean and well appointed, very private and having your own near open air bathroom is a real treat. The staff made us so welcome... More

I had three well travelled international guests and wanted to ensure they had a wonderful African Adventure. So I took them out of their comfort zone of 5 star hotels, spa massages and 24/7 technology connection ... I booked at Ilombe Fishing Lodge. Peter and his team looked after the “travelling band of ladies” as if this was what he... More

Our group has visited the Zambezi River for many years, and Sekoma Island scored the best of any other lodge. Whilst not in the exclusive category, everything about Sekoma was great. Accommodation is 2 to a room, as is fishing, 2 to a boat. Service is friendly, helpful and prompt. The food was above par for a fishing lodge. The... More

The accommodation is in semi permanent tents that have a bathroom attached - very comfortable. Service was genuinely outstanding- staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Travel time by road from Livingstone is about an hour. Activities include Tiger fishing and game viewing from boats. The island had regular visits form elephants and hippo and there are... More
