The price is good for the area. Rooms are somewhat clean. Needs to pay attention to detail. We didn’t have a working TV. And wasn’t even offered a discount. Parking is lacking. Unfortunately we will look for something else next time.
We had to be in the Gilbert/Justice area to bury my dad's cremains and this was the closest place. The staff was great and even mailed a phone charger to us that we left in the room. The staff and nice rooms but there was a problem that the staff didn't know about. About midnight there was a woman beating on the door of another room and yelling a guy's name. I got back to sleep just to be awakened again by the loud mouthed woman. That was the first night, she wasn't rude like that the second night. The only other problem was that the WIFI was very slow at night. Other than that, it was a great stay.
We stayed here 2 nights while riding the H&M trails. The Rockhouse Trail connector is a 3 mile ATV ride from the lodge. This hotel is an older motel that is in the process of being remodeled. The rooms are average but roomy and clean. Our beds were comfy. There is room to park trailers and large trucks. The best part of the Stone Creek Lodge is the people. They are extra friendly and kind. They were flexible in our check in and check out times. They helped us with trail information and restaurant suggestions. It was a fun, friendly small town atmosphere.
We stayed here in June of this year and it was perfect for what we needed it for, trail riding! The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful!! You can buy trail passes right at the desk and do all the paperwork! The rooms are average and what I expected considering they allow and encourage trail riders that are muddy most of the time. The rooms are clean with a small refrigerator, wifi is non existent but they do offer free long distance calling because you will also have zero cell phone service in this area. They do smell a bit musty at first but judging by the area they don't get a lot of traffic because you have to ride a few miles to the community connector in a nearby town. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep after a muddy day of riding, this will work.…
If you are wanting a hotel with nice rooms. This would be a great place for you. The rooms are newly remodeled, showers are nice, the rooms are clean. The free long distance is great because there is no cellular service in the area. And the owners are very friendly. If you are planning on staying because of the amenities that the hotels promotes, I would choose another location. The free wifi doesn't work. The only time I was able to connect to the internet was at 3am. The Laundry Mat that the hotel says they have is the only laundry mat within 50 miles and the Locals DO NOT like to Share!! We had a lady get very upset with us because we was using 3 of the 5 working washing machines. Then we had to wait 3 hours after our clothes was washed in order to dry them. The Coal trucks go up and down the street all day and all night and you can hear them in your room. Our room was connected to the car wash, which was nice to have after riding in the mud. however, for some reason people wash their vehicles all night long. the hotel office hours are 9:30-9:30 and if the owners are working you will be able to locate them at anytime during business hours. however, if the other lady is working Good luck locating her if you need something! Overall our stay was ok, the beds was ok, not to hard and not to soft. after the first two nights I was able to sleep through the coal truck noise. The dinner across the street has amazing breakfast!! I probably wouldn't stay again but not because the rooms was bad..…
