We had a wonderful stay at Morris Harvey House. Natalie and Eric are very kind and attentive owners. The house has a lot of classic charm. The breakfasts are delicious and the grounds are highly manicured. The location is in the center of the small Fayetteville town. We were able to walk to some of the restaurants. We were also able to get to many area attractions within a 5 to 10 minute drive, such as hiking trailheads, the bridge walk, and white water rafting. This historic house is well maintained and kept in a classic style. We absolutely recommend staying here.
We had a terrific time while staying at the Morris Harvey house. Eric and Natalie are warm and attentive hosts and the location couldn't be better -- just steps away from terrific shops and dining (including the classic, Pies & Pints). The New River Gorge National Park is hardly a 15 minute drive. This is THE place to spend your nights during your New River Gorge adventure.
This was our second time to stay there. We stayed in the loft suite because there were four adults. A fun setting for the family! Fascinating decor -- full of antiques. The house is perfectly located -- an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of Fayetteville. Plus, it is less than a 10-minute drive to the New River Gorge National Park visitor center. Very convenient!
Breakfast was very tasty! Our room was very clean and cozy. You could tell a lot of time and effort went in to the decor details of our bird themed room and the common areas of the house. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful with our quick stay in Fayetteville, WV. We would definitely stay again.
Such a sweet and beautiful place! And so welcoming with a yummy breakfast. I chatted the evening away on the porch with an old friend and it had that "cozy, grandma's place' vibe (only way nicer) where you dont' want to leave. It was a lovely stay.
Our trip with friends to New River Gorge National Park was made better in so many ways by the convenience and many comforts of the Morris Harvey House B&B. Natalie and Eric were most friendly and attentive to our comfort and requests for information. We were able to take maximum advantage of our time in Fayetteville due to the B&B's location so close to the park. We are able to walk both nights to nice restaurant options, the breakfasts provided by Natalie were creative, healthy and quite delicious. If we visit the Park again in the future, this will be our first choice for lodging.
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Morris Harvey House B&B. The hosts, Natalie and Eric were so very friendly and accommodating. They seemed eager to meet all of our needs. The room we stayed in was lovely and the bed was comfortable and everything about our experience made us feel pampered and special. The breakfast was delicious and healthful. Coffee excellent. The house is fun to explore and see the various unique antiques that they have collected. I can't say enough about this wonderful place in the heart of Fayetteville, and close to the New River Gorge National Park.
We certainly would not have wanted to move on with our road trip if we stopped at the Morris Harvey House first! From the greeting at our arrival to our farewell after our second night, we had such a great experience! The entirety of the guest areas are decorated very comfortably with selections appropriate for a house of this era. Natalie and Eric met our needs...exceeding our expectations of hosts at a B&B. The house was clean, the breakfasts were delicious with wonderful presentations. Location of their place is very close to the New River Gorge Bridge (just under 2 miles) and the driving route to the bottom. They are near to trail heads and within reasonable drives to other spots throughout New River Gorge National Park. Fayetteville is a small town, with a few nice restaurants, a couple of antiques stores, amongst a few other businesses. I hope to make a return trip to stay at the Historic Morris Harvey House again. It is a place to get cozy and enjoy the atmosphere and could easily be a destination stay.…
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days at The Historic Morris Harvey B&B. Natalie and Eric were wonderful hosts and assured that our stay was a terrific one. The B&B was very clean and we loved the furnishings Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room/bathroom gave us the room we needed. Breakfasts were very good and filling. The area is lovely - given it is in the New River Gorge area. Met some really great people and loved our stay there. Would recommend highly.
So. we were set with a hotel in Beckley and when the cleanliness was far below adequate, we checked out and called this B&B on a whim. They had one room left and it was a loft. This place was PERFECT. Great vibe, decor, food and the owners made us feel like family. Worth the trip!
