Granted, my husband's great grandfather was one of the founders of this historic club and it was the scene of part of our wedding weekend. However, we have traveled all over the world and this remains one of our favorite spots of all time. I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in seclusion, mountain views, nature, and country... More

This turn of the century lodge is on the river and has the atmosphere of an old hunting lodge with modern conveniences. Bicycling, hiking, fishing or just plain relaxing are easily available. As it turns out, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone all stayed at this lodge and conducted business here while enjoying the wild West Virginia mountains in... More
