On our way to Florida we had booked the Bluefield Inn, in WV as a stop over. From the beginning their communications and helpfulness was very much appreciated. Preston the Inn Keeper was very helpful in ensuring that our room would be accessible for a late check in an that the complimentary Tesla charger (for Customers Only) was set up and working for our arrival. Upon arriving we immediately fell in love with the Inn which is a historical house that was built in 1903 situated on a Historical Street. We cannot say enough about the hospitality, the charm of the house and of course the staff. Our dog Lucky was welcome for a small nominal charge an even got to meet Preston's two English Bulldogs, Rosie and Jack. We loved everything about the Inn and will most definitely be returning. We had a lovely single-night stay at the Inn! We were in the Murphy Brown room (love this name!), which was easy to access from the back of the Inn. The Inn is gorgeous inside and quite spacious. Our room was comfortable and well decorated. The shower was quite good. Additional drinking water was provided in the hallway. Breakfast, which was in a beautiful garden-type room with many windows, included watermelon chunks, orange-mango juice, coffee, and a hearty open-faced breakfast sandwich with multigrain bread, an egg, cheese, aioli, parsley, and a bit of paprika. We could also have purchased a latte, cappuccino, or a mocha for a few extra dollars. There is an honor bar with wine available, and there is a pool table on the main floor. We were looking for a stop-over point on a recent trip. We wanted to stay at a B&B where we could also find a wonderful dining experience. To our delight we found this exact combination in Bluefield WV by staying at the Bluefield Inn and dining at The Vault in downtown Bluefield. Once deciding on the Bluefield Inn the great experience began with a call to the Inn to make a reservation. I talked to Kitt who helped me select a room that perfectly met our needs. From just this conversation I knew we’d have a great time. When we got to the Inn the self-check in worked great, and Preston was there to attend to our needs. Breakfast the next day was superb, delicious and healthy. We visited in December so could not take advantage of all the great looking outdoor sitting areas, so we look forward to returning in warmer weather. I was traveling back to NC from a family funeral in WV and my electric vehicle was on it's last miles and I was desperate to find a charging station. The Bluefield Inn popped up on my navigation screen and it was my last hope. I pulled up with 2 miles of power left. The owners and staff graciously offered to allow me to charge my vehicle even though I was not staying at the Inn. Not only that but they invited me to rest in the home's library and allowed me to make a great cup of hot coffee. It was a sad time for me but they lifted my spirits with their sincere hospitality and helpful hand. You won't find nicer people and the Inn is something to see. I look forward to staying their in the very near future and highly recommend.

The Inn is beautiful, well appointed, excellent breakfast and the host was engaging and helpful. We had 5 rooms total and everyone was delighted with their room and the breakfast. We also used the dining room for a meeting, played billiards and all in all were made to feel welcome in every way. I definitely would recommend the Bluefield Inn to all travelers, couples and solo.

Wonderful B&B. Kitt is a delightfully gracious host. Promptly assisted with a smile when we needed TV assistance. Great breakfast. Comfy bed. Dinner at Macado's was a teat. We were just passing through the area and could only stay one night. Wish we could have stayed to enjoy the lovely porch, reading room and more. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were on our way to Florida and this was a good stopping place for us. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. The hosts and staff were really nice and attentive. The breakfasts were made from scratch and so yummy. Lots of cute places to relax indoors and outdoors. I loved the two Old English bulldogs that live there. (They were quiet and stayed in their area.) The decor was quite eclectic and interesting. We found a couple of good places to eat, particularly The Vault which was upscale Italian We would gladly stay there again.

Since this is a Select Registry hotel, we were expecting more than an average B&B. It was fine, but not up to the standards that we were expecting. Again, it was an average B&B, not a cut above. The hosts, however, were very responsive and could not have done more to try and make us happy.

I am sorry that you did not have the normal 5 star experience that most of our guests enjoy, although I am not exactly sure why you feel we merited only a 3 star rating. The property, which was built in 1904, is in excellent condition and the amenities and bedding are all of the highest quality. The Inn has museum-quality art and furniture that has been featured in magazines, and the chandeliers are from an estate in Europe. We offer a full, freshly cooked breakfast for all eating styles including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc and use only the highest quality, organic food available. We do not have central heat and air, but have made a conscious decision to stick with window a/c units and radiators because it is much safer for our guests. No air is shared between rooms, which protects all of us from exposure to Covid and other viruses. Select Registry consists of many different, individually owned properties that vary in size, style, age, location and amenities. These factores are reflected in the different prices. Each offers a unique experience that is local to the area. Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We take all comments very seriously and are always trying to improve.

What a gem to be found in Bluefield. Very responsive and friendly hosts and staff. Beautiful front porch perfect for visiting and relaxed, wonderful breakfast and well appointed guest rooms. Would definitely stay again if coming to the area. Would recommend.

This property is the most beautiful B&B we’ve ever seen. My wife and I were looking for an overnight accommodation on our road trip that was more interesting that a chain property on the interstate. We are happy that we made this slight detour to the Bluefield Inn. The interior of this inn is amazing. The art, furniture, and general decor are unique and beautiful. The exterior porch, patio, and grounds are well maintained and welcoming. Most importantly, the hospitality was unparalleled. Our host Preston was wonderfully welcoming and charming. He also prepared our wonderful breakfast. This stay was a highlight of our road trip.
