This park is beautiful and great trails for running or hiking. However, we stayed in the lodge and even with the nice location it was very dated. It had old dark paneling in the room and simply a look that was screaming out for an update. We found the staff nice and helpful and happy to answer questions. We were... More

My family absolutely loves this place, we go at least 3-4 times a year. The first time we went we stayed in the lodge...but then we discovered the cabins. For less money - if there are 4 or more of you - you can stay in a lovely, rustic cabin with a full kitchen and fireplace (stocked wood included). We... More

Cacapon State Park is beautiful and very well maintained. Excellent hiking trails, great views, year round, that is why the rating is 2. However, the resort and cabins at Cacapon State Park needs serious updating and staff trained in ethics, business management, manners, good customer service and friendliness. Every time I have called about renting a cabin or a room... More

Decided to stop here on our way back from Ohio. Lovely place. Very quaint and great for families. The cost of a room at the lodge is very reasonable (under 100). The rooms are old 1960's vintage, so they're not very large, but they had a flat screen TV, AC (very comfortable) and a nice old fashioned bathroom. We got... More

Visited over night with a friend. Stayed in the lodge. I was very impressed with the beauty of the park and the lodge was like stepping back into a scene from "Dirty Dancing" with a great 60's vibe. We were greeted by very friendly staff and we're given a very dated but clean room at a reasonable rates. Obviously we... More

I know , it's technically not in Berkeley Springs. But, then again, Berkeley Springs isn't technically Berkeley Springs, is it? While, there, I went to the 3 other closest hotels. The reviews are right on the motel and I would say the Best Western. It's late July and doesn't look like it's cut it's grass yet. Country Inn - too... More

We stayed in a standard cabin and loved it! It was so much bigger than I expected. It was really tucked away from everything - about a mile and a half up the hill from the main lodge. There was no tv or microwave, but the kitchen was fully stocked otherwise so we prepared all of our meals there. We... More

I rented cabin #12 for my family of five. The cabin was dated and a bit chopped up in terms of layout, but it was nice to have a bathroom, fridge and running water. I hated that there's no fire ring and I thought $125/night (Sat and Sun nights) was outrageous. It was private, though, which was nice. The park... More

The lodge is a pristinely maintained step back into 1950s-60s travel. Rooms are clean, comfortable and practical with nice quality amenities like Made in West Virginia soaps, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, in-room coffee, etc. Rooms are small by today’s standards but they are definitely big enough and furnishings are “old timey” but in excellent condition. Nestled in the midst of... More

The lodge is located in a lovely state park that includes what looked like a nice golf course and a lake/pond for swimming. It's a nice place to get away. The place is a bit of a throwback and that's nice, but I say that to set expectations. A room in the main lodge is fine but there is an... More
