We were so surprised and impressed by the Hotel Y. We were expecting an ordinary hotel, along the lines of Comfort Inn, Best Western, La Quinta etc. and Hotel Y exceeded our expectation in every way. The room was spotless, quiet, with plenty of amenities. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was impressive -- good quality, lots of options, in the nice lobby or the outside courtyard. We will definitely stay there next time we're in Yakima.
The newly renovated Hotel Y provided a great place to get a good nights sleep during my week of work in Yakima. The room had everything I needed, was clean, the bed comfy and the staff super friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to the Yakima River, downtown, and orchard country.
We stayed here last summer and again this week. This time the grounds were littered and dingy. Last time it seemed kept up netter. Our room had a wad of gum stuck on the wall above the bed. Pretty icky. Quiet, the window opens and has a screen. Did not try the breakfast.
Cassandra is the name of the young lady working the graveyard shift the night I stayed at The Y Hotel. Cassandra was extremely patient kind and helpful she went way above and beyond to make this a fun and relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean comfortable place to stay while visiting Yakima Wa.
I have stayed at Hotel Y 3 times, the first time in August, 2020. I chose it then because it had outside doors for each room and its website showed strong Covid-19 protocols. I would have given it 4 stars. There were problems the 2nd time but I still felt safe from Covid-19. The third time was 3 days ago. Our room was not ready (we were not early). We noticed that the staff cleaning rooms were not masked (Besides us, we saw only one other masked person while we were there). It happened that the unmasked cleaners assigned to our room came into the lobby for their assignment. I asked if they were vaccinated (Washington still requires unvaccinated people to wear masks in public indoor spaces). They feigned ignorance. Hotel Y's plan was that they would hurry their cleaning and we would immediately enter the room. I mentioned that every time I had stayed somewhere during the pandemic they required 2-4 hours between cleaning and guests entering. My daughter, who had reserved the room this time, said "I can't stay here." We cancelled our reservation. We were in Yakima visiting my 96 year old father. We decided it wasn't safe for him if we stayed at Hotel Y. …
We stayed here for a few days while helping to move our daughter to Yakima. The Hotel Y is newly redone. The rooms are clean and the beds really comfy and the water hot! The laundry facility came in handy after being on the road for five days. The hotel was quiet and the breakfasts were good. We could have used a microwave in the room and an additional wall mirror, but other than that it was great!
Enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Sonja at the front desk provided excellent customer service. She was helpful in recommending wineries, local sights and gave plenty of other information. Always courteous and making sure our questions were answered. Very nice room decor and modern, convenient location from freeway, quiet, and compliments to the free breakfast. Such a wide range of food choices including to go sandwiches! Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations!😉
We had adjoining rooms as we travelled for a youth tournament with and I took other kids with me. The rooms were remodeled, spacious with a small fridge and microwave to make snacks easy. The location was right near the freeway with easy access to where we needed to be. The staff was very responsive and friendly with a good variety of breakfast (even during COVID restrictions) that were all within the guidelines. It was the perfect stay for our needs and we will definitely be staying there again.
The Hotel Y was recommended to me by a family member who also, comes to visit family here in Yakima. Our stay felt safe, clean, the rooms are newly renovated, the front desk lady was friendly and accommodating. I recommended it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to stay the night.
We wanted to go on a trip and relax by a pool but thanks to covid that was almost impossible to find. Hotel Y gave us exactly what we were looking for! The hotel has been recently renovated with modern design. The price point was perfect and the bed was comfy and the room clean. The pool is in the parking lot and not renovated which seemed odd at first but it is clean and once inside the pool area it was just what we were looking for. We basically had the pool to ourselves! The only thing that was a downer was the room/bed didn't get cleaned after the first day. This might have been a covid impact though so I didn't count it against them. It just might be good to know at check in. Good food in the area and we took a cool bike loop ride and great food places nearby! Happy with our stay.…
