Detailed Reviews
We have stayed at Pine Near Rv park on and off for several years. We've used tent spots, tipi, and trailer sites. The electricity, water and sewage hookups have always been reliable/functional. There are premium lone sites or sites available for groups of campers. Anna's family and crew are always available. They are the most gracious hosts willing to please their customers. The onsite (individual) showers and laundry are very nice features when camping. The park is across the street from the Shafer Historical museum. The park is a short walk from downtown shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay at Pine Near if your adventures take you to Winthrop, Wa. or elsewhere in the Methow Valley. Oh, and free wifi!

My wife and I used this as a base while my friend and I hiked for a week on the Pacific Crest Trail. The rest rooms and showers were immaculately clean! Everything about the property was in tiptop shape and it was obvious that the owners and operators went to great lengths to keep it that way. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and kindness we were shown by Anna! This is a beautiful RV Park and well run small business. I’m so glad we got to experience it!

Well, what can I say about this most awesome park. It was our 1st RV park as we bought a Motorhome and pulled into the office, and this has to be the greenest place in Winthrop. You can tell they really take care of the grounds there and the grass was green and bright and well-watered. We met the host and they let us check in early and even guided us to our spot and help us set up in the area. In talking with them they even gave is some friendly tips since they knew we were new to the RV world. Spent a very pleasant weekend there. The park was quiet, and kids played safely around the park.
Very easy walk to downtown Winthrop from the RV park and you can even learn a little bit of History as you go through the museum that was across the street.
Props to the hosts and owners of this place we plan on making it a yearly thing as we can.
Thanks for having us.

What a super nice RV park. We rented one of their cabin rooms, very clean, bed was super comfortable. Camp host and owners were so nice and accommodating, the city had a waterline break, and the owner offered her personal home if we needed to shower and provided us with bottled water until the water was restored. There is a great setup to cook outside. We are already planning our trip for next year.

We love our RV and take it everywhere. When it is as cold as the Methow valley having power is critical. Pine Near RV is centrally located and deals with the conditions well. Anna, the owner, is attentive and friendly. You can walk to town and there are warm, clean bathrooms and showers if you need that. We’ve visited three times over the years and are always happy.

We stopped here on our way across the state of WA. Located a short walk from the town of Winthrop is this campground- clean grassy lots! Clean showers ($1 for 2 minutes) and laundry available. Staff is very friendly. Our favorite campground so far as we trek west!

All the previous reviewers have experienced what my husband and I have known for a while now. Pine Near RV Park is the Best Place On Earth for camping. We have watched Anna work very hard over the last few years to bring what could only be described as a dilapidated run down patch of tall grass into a beautifully green, lush, vibrantly unique and welcoming spot to set up you little home away from home. She overflows with energy and welcomes everyone with open arms. The park is spacious and as mentioned has several choices for everyone. The Tipis are all furnished and can easily accommodate a family or a cozy retreat for two. The "mining shacks" are a new addition on the hill and also quaintly furnished. Each has their own private sitting area overlooking the park. Private (pay) showers and restrooms are located in the office/laundry mat. There is definitely a lot of pride in the work that has gone into the workmanship of this building as well. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. She's also open well into hunting season.

We loved this park. The new owners are working to rebuild a park that had apparently fallen into disrepair. The location is wonderful and it's a true value for the area. The best thing about it is the lovely Anna who is so very sincere in her efforts to make your stay comfortable.

Pine Near RV Park sits up on a hill in Winthrop with about a five minute walk from the very cute downtown. We did not utilize the showers or bathrooms but did use the laundry which was clean and did the job. The showers are $1 apiece. The lot we were on was nice and big and off to the end of the campground which was nice because there was a rowdy bunch of people from a softball tournament. When we arrived the woman in charge indicated that she would be walking around quiet hours to remind them of the hours. We did not hear them after that. The lots were very nice and large and while there weren’t any fancy things like pools or a playground the friendly staff and short distance to the cute downtown made up for this.

Hi There, There is a nice network of casual walking trails nearby. Just strolling down the boardwalks one block town is extremely enjoyable!
Pine Near will fit your requests. Except dogs have to be on a leash in the park. This would be true at any campground. You should make a reservation at pine near park. com
Hi There,
We are not on the river. We are one block above main street. There is an area where you can put tubes in about 5 blocks away from us. Thanks for the inquiry. ~Anna
Hi Karin,
Yes, each of our RV sites is a full hook up site.
Thanks for writing.
~Anna
Greetings, We do not have a swimming pool or hot tub. There is one at the Public Pool nearby in Twisp. ~Anna
